Rick Shores is the perfect place to experience a modern Asian dining experience right on the sand at Burleigh Heads.

With culinary influences drawn from Thailand, India, Vietnam and Japan matching the skill sets of Executive Chef Ben Bertei (Longtime Restaurant) and Head Chef Jake Pregnell (Ex-Golden Fields Melbourne), Rick Shores is able to develop unique and contemporary flavour combinations.

Open through lunch to dinner, small plates, large plates and the chefs selection is the focus with a precedence for fresh, light and locally sourced dishes.

We were visiting from Canada to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday and our experience was fantastic! I had requested an ocean-view table if possible, and the seating we received was absolutely perfect. The food was excellent, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Excellent starters.nExcellent service.nMains curries were not as punchy as expected but still quite good.nCocktails very good.nThe view however was stunning.nn4.35/5nnWould absolutely return. The bill came in about 2/3 below everyone’s guess.
Rick Shores is a fabulous restaurant right on the beach at Burleigh Heads. The food is a fabulous fusion of Asian flavours. It is an interesting and imaginative menu with a decent wine list. The restaurant has a modern décor with a bustling atmosphere and can be a bit noisy when relatively full. A reservation is essential particularly coming into the festive season. The service is fabulous and the location is perfect. It is not cheap but the dining experience is well worth it.

Myself and my husband were kindly gifted a voucher for this beautiful restaurant and recently had the chance to enjoy lunch here. The service was the best we’ve experienced in any restaurant in a very long time. Alvaro looked after us, he asked us relevant questions in terms of what flavours we preferred, how spicy we enjoyed our food and what we enjoyed in our wine. We followed his recommendations and tried the bug roll, as well as our choice of oysters and we enjoyed the rainbow trout with duck fat potatoes and wok fried beans for our mains. The flavours were sensational. Huge compliments to the chef. Alvaro also recommended a bottle of white wine and it was so smooth and rich in flavour. We didn’t feel rushed. We felt very looked after. The view from the restaurant, overlooking Burleigh Beach and towards the Gold Coast really made you feel like you’re in paradise, the sun was shining, everything was perfect. We are so grateful and would highly recommend and definately be back! Thanks team and big shout out to our star waiter Alvero!
