Rick Shores is the perfect place to experience a modern Asian dining experience right on the sand at Burleigh Heads.

With culinary influences drawn from Thailand, India, Vietnam and Japan matching the skill sets of Executive Chef Ben Bertei (Longtime Restaurant) and Head Chef Jake Pregnell (Ex-Golden Fields Melbourne), Rick Shores is able to develop unique and contemporary flavour combinations.

Open through lunch to dinner, small plates, large plates and the chefs selection is the focus with a precedence for fresh, light and locally sourced dishes.

Rick Shores is an amazing restaurant that really has it all. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and the view is astonishing.nWe were fortunate enough to have a beach front view that felt like you were looking at a postcard!nnOur waitress Elizabeth was a breath of fresh air that added so much to our experience. She was very personable, had a great knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendations about the food and activities in the area as well. You are lucky to have her.nnThe food was amazing and we loved the flavours and the creativity. The salmon spring rolls were an unexpected highlight, with the avocado cream pairing just delightful.nThe super light housemade roti is an absolute must to soak up the sauce from one of their delicious curries. We had the coconut prawn curry and it was divine.nThe signature Moreton Bay bug rolls are delicious as they look, and the Phoenix Wagyu in the truffle honey sauce is a must try.nnA beautiful location with amazing food and staff. Well done Rick Shores, thank you for a wonderful experience that we won't forget.
Everything about this place is why it's so hard to get a booking. Amazing views, good food and friendly staff. We had the $90 set menu for lunch and enjoyed each dish although could have skipped the last main of beef curry as was a bit dry. Other than that the drinks and day was perfect.
I have lived on the Gold Coast for a while now and have heard many good things about Rick Shores. We arrived without a booking, not realising the place is usually booked well in advance. The view alone is breathtaking, a perfect spring day in Queensland, right on the water.nnEven though they were full, the team kindly managed to arrange a small table for us. I started with a beautiful Japanese style lager which set the tone perfectly.nnThen came the crispy battered oyster with ginger caramel and lumaboshi jellyfish, absolutely phenomenal in texture and flavour, easily one of the best oyster experiences I have had.nnLunch was the famous Moreton Bay Bug Roll with mayonnaise, sriracha, gem lettuce and a soft brioche bun. They call it a snack, but it is a moment. The balance of flavours is unreal, and now I understand why this dish has such a reputation.nnThe atmosphere, the view, the food, everything was on another level. The service was exceptional. The wait staff were super friendly and even though it was clearly a busy day, they still took the time to chat briefly, explain the dishes and guide us through our choices with genuine passion.nnThis is one of those rare times where five stars just does not feel like enough. If you are visiting the Gold Coast, or like me have lived here for years and somehow have not tried it yet, do yourself a favour. If you appreciate good food and memorable experiences, Rick Shores is an absolute must.nnWell done to the entire team. You truly have something special here.
We were lucky to enjoy one of the most exclusive tables with a direct view of the beach and ocean a breathtaking setting that made the experience truly special. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive, and their wine recommendations were perfectly on point. We came for lunch with friends and chose the set menu, which was beautifully balanced and exceeded our expectations.nnAltogether, Rick Shores combines stunning views with excellent food and service …a place well worth visiting if you can secure a table.
Beautiful, aesthetic restaurant with amazing views! The food was good but did not wow us.. staff were very polite & were quick to assist us with anything we needed! Definitely will be back again in the future! Thanks for having us :
