Rice furniture Gold Coast simply the worst experience and absolutely no customer service for the faulty goods. My wife and purchased a new table for $3,000.00 we were excited until it first arrived. It was warped, had a broken wooden rail underneath, missing bolts bolts, the joins were open at both ends and the foot section had a crack in it. The top was very unstable and not safe. We immediately called Rice Furniture for a replacement or refund. We were told we would get a new table. Two weeks later Rice turned up with only a new top only they would not replace the cracked table foot. The top was still unsafe and wobbly. We continue to call Rice and request they come and remove the faulty table and give us a full refund as they had been there 3 times now. They finally brought a new table base to replace the cracked one. This new table base had a piece missing off the foot and my wife asked the installer to stop and please take all the table piece back to Rice we were done he became abusive and yelled at her, l was in the other room dressing - he thought she was alone After not apologising l came out and told him you don’t yell at my wife in our house and ordered, him to leave immediately. The table is now in pieces upside down in our dinning room for the past week. This has now gone on for well over 7 weeks. We are continuing legal action with Dept Fair Trading and Visa
BUYERS BEWARE!!! I ordered a desk and some other items of furniture to be delivered in July. I received no communication from the Bundall store to say there was a delay. When I rang and asked when my furniture would be delivered they said there had been a delay and will not be delivered until August, Same for September. I asked if I could cancel the order as I work from home and needed a desk. They then informed me that had signed a contract to say I cannot cancel my order. Please read the fine print before signing anything in this store as it was not brought to my attention and I did not expect these extreme delays nor was I advised that there would be any. So I waited and guess what it was the same for October. I am now being informed after I again had to contact the store and spoke to a very rude person named Claire that it will be November. November 3rd I was originally told but she would confirm shortly after making a quick phone call. She did not confirm so I contacted her back 3 hours later and she said now it will be the 12 o13 November as the 3rd was all booked out now, even for me to pick up. She advised I was not the only customer and if I wanted to confirm anything to contact their Parkinson store and put the phone down on me. When I tried to call back they would not answer my call so I called Parkinson and spoke to a very nice lady called Tracey who asked me to speak with the area manager in Aspley, so I did and now I have to wait another 4 days before I have an answer as to when my furniture will be delivered. NEVER AGAIN. Remember - Watch out for the fine print when they ask you to complete your information.
Service was good when purchasing a sofa, but that's where it ended, I purchased our sofa from them in Jan 2021 and had ongoing issues with one of the modular pieces. Black rice replaced the defective piece several times with the issues ranging from the fabric being a different colour on two occasions, to the rear frame being made out of square and constant alignment issues, on one occasion they replaced it with the same piece previously sent back. The issue eventually reached the owner who's advise was to put some felt under one side to lift the piece Approximately 25mm and align the back Not what you would expect when purchasing a sofa worth over $4000. Would never spend another dollar in this shop!
The worst customer service ever experienced!! Was sold a mirror which when we got home had excess spray on it that would not come off…. Went back to store- staff said to use a plastic paint scraper to remove… they said it was common with this mirror, expressed my concern about scratching it if I did and they assured me it wouldn’t happen. Did what they had told me to do- scratched the mirror so again took it back asking for a replacement. Staff wouldn’t replace saying I had damaged it- but I was told to use the paint scraper in the first instance as they were not going to replace on my first visit. I further insisted that I get a refund or at-least a replacement as the mirror was originally faulty which I had shown the first time I returned it. Staff then commented it was a clearance item and they all had faults. This was never ever communicated to me when I first made the purchase nor were there any signs indicating this mirror across the shop in multiple places hanging up was a clearance item. Staff then said they would keep the mirror and speak to the area manager. I was never contacted by rice- I rang again multiple times to be told the area manager is a busy woman… Rang head office and spoke to a woman regarding my complaint who then told me to deal with Bundall direct which had been done so many many times! Bundall rice then called me and I voiced my concerns that under consumer law they had sold me a faulty item with no clear signage saying clearance or faulty and the staff member said she would speak to the owner… Week later still heard nothing, and they still had my mirror in store holding it- I then went in store to be told they were not replacing it… Absolutely disgusting and have lodged a complaint with fair trade with evidence of no signage and the engagements made. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Extremely rude and disgusting customer service!
This is a amazing place for high end products at prices you would pay in discount furniture store. The knowledge of staff is just brillant at sorting out your style.
Love love this store one of my favourites Staff are are very helpful & friendly even go the extra mile to help measure piece for me when I forget to take a tape measure, beautiful furniture & homewares. Will be back again
After purchasing furniture from Claire at Bundall store she has not helped us at all with any after sale service ! We are frustrated that Claire being the store Manager was not interested at all in providing us with any help and was in fact very rude and couldn’t care less that we were sold faulty items of furniture. Claire stated to us that they are not faulty even when showing her photo proof of the furniture with holes in and other staff members within her store and at other stores informing us that YES we are correct as they received a shipment of over 400 items that are faulty. The holes should not be there ! Why we were not informed of this before we paid for purchases ? Instead the items were fully wrapped and we were unable to see until we were home 400 klms awayand removed the packaging. Claire now wants us to drive a 800 km drive to exchange as refusing to use a courier. We have now placed this in the hands of Fair Trading.
Rice Furniture have provided the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. I choose over $8,000 worth of furniture which I wanted to be delivered over a 4 week period. The very first piece that arrived had this damage to the top. I went into store to advise them & have been ignored and brushed off ever since. I am taking legal action & DO NOT recommend this company under any circumstances. I have wrote on their Face Book page and it was removed immediately yet they still continue to brush me off. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!
Beware to asking for refund even you don’t get delivery yet . I took 6 months to get my money back through fair trading and paid extra $119 fair trading fee
I paid $3800 full price for a pair of sofas December 2021. I was told I will receive them March 22, In March they told me it will arrive mid May and I said I will be overseas then and I will not be in Australia at least until August and I want my money back. They said there is nothing they can do about it. 0 stars suits them better then 1
