"Open to the public by appointment ONLY!Reptile Encounters was founded in 2007 and is now in its 16th year of operation.Founder Josh Cox has had a lifelong love of Australian wildlife and was keen to have his own business and share his passion with the public. Initially, Reptile Encounters began with Josh as the sole presenter of shows and a small collection of animals. He operated from home, and the majority of his business was weekend birthday parties. However it wasn’t long before schools began enquiring and the focus of the business has gradually shifted. Josh quit his pharmaceutical sales job in 2009 to run Reptile Encounters full time and the business has had consistent growth across its 15 years of operation."

Yesterday we celebrated my daughters 10th birthday & had Beth & the reptiles come to our home. The booking experience was so easy & the communication was perfect. I’d like to thank Beth as she was so informative, calm and amazing with all the kids. She kept all the kids engaged, even the parents. Thank - you for making this experience so memorable. I booked this experience from New Zealand after searching for somewhere my daughter could hold a snake and was worried as had no idea where we were going but I’m so pleased we found it. It was an amazing experience and so much more than we were expecting. We got to see and touch so many animals but also learn a lot about them from a very knowledgeable Josh. We all loved it and would highly recommend to others.
This was amazing. Deffinatley one of the best experiences for the kids. Everyone was excited to learn and Sebastian was informative and exciting, which engaged the kids. The kids loved being able to touch, feel and hold all the Reptiles. Thank you reptile encounters for making it a easy and fun day to have.
This was the most incredible entertainment for our sons 5th birthday. The show was educational, fun and very interactive. Not only were the kids highly engaged but the adults absolutely loved the show and got involved too. We even had children who happened to be at the park come over and want to get involved. Josh was fantastic with the kids and I highly recommend Reptile Encounters.
It was brilliant. Even better than we could have hoped. Sebastian was excellent and patient with all participants large and small, and everyone got to touch and hold every animal they wanted except the crocodile. He arrived at the party on time, and the setup was fast. I can't recommend the experience highly enough. Thank you! We had one thrilled birthday girl.
We were so excited to have Reptile Encounters come and entertain the kids for my sons 7th birthday party and they didn't disappoint! Josh was amazing with the kids little and big and kept them engaged and on the edge of their seats the whole time. It was also really great the way he was able to tell them interesting facts about the animals, which I hear they all then went home and told their parents about. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Josh and the team at Reptile Encounters for your next party or event.
Josh & Reptile Encounters attended our wedding with some gorgeous critters that not only helped ease my nerves on the morning of, but also provided morning-after entertainment for all our guests! My now Husband and I hung out with Penny the ringtail, and Neville the croc whilst our guests were arriving. Michael wanted Neville to be the ring bearer... but settled for a groomsman. We got some once in a lifetime photo opportunities! The next day during brunch, Josh mingled and introduced our guests to a variety of awesome reptilian creatures, casually educating everyone whilst creating a fun atmosphere! His presence was such a special addition to our day and we can't thank him enough!
Reptile Encounters is AMAZING! We had our daughter's 8th birthday on site at Reptile Encounters HQ. It was fantastic. Our host, Beth, was knowledgeable and extremely patient with the excited kids. She showed us a wide variety of animals and made sure she checked with us and the birthday girl what animals we wanted to see. The parents also had a great time! The hands-on experience was truly great. My 4 year old wants her next party at Reptile Encounters too!
A massive thanks to Josh AKA Animal Man for today’s visit for my sons 4th birthday! He was very engaging and provided information to the kids about the animals that was age appropriate and easy for them to understand. The olive python and crocodile were a big hit amongst the kids. I loved the barking owl! Highly recommend. Thanks again Josh
I was so impressed with the presentation from beginning to end. The communication at time of booking and again ahead of the day, the punctuality of the presenter and his really engaging manner and of course the animals. A very happy birthday girl! I highly recommend Reptile Encounters and thank you for a wonderful presentation.
