QUESTIONABLE BEHAVIOUR
What's the worst experience you can imagine, short of being slapped? This one. (And probably all the others -- Ask yourself how fake all the reviews where are?!)
Terrible customer service.

MY EXPERIENCE TODAY
When attempting to pick up my booked vehicle, I asked about the questionable practices of: requiring a letter addressed to your home, because the valid license is not enough; and taking "a number from a friend" as a secondary number, in case they need to case me up, because my credit card is not enough. I wasn't applying to get a passport, so why do you need these absurd extras? Was told that because head office say so!

I forfeited the details anyway, but was refused the vehicle "because of your attitude", though I didn't raise my voice, didn't use vulgar language. I simply said that I didn't agree with the requirements and that no hiring or other business takes the details of people who are not engaged in the transaction -- potentially making them implicated, if not liable in ways they're not aware. Then I find out from another franchisee that I was tagged in the system as "Do not rent to. Due to abusive to staff."

So my plans went to sht for the day, because I asked those questions, and didn't shut up and comply. I guess you can treat people like that when you only make $60 off them for a day's hire, and you hardly have competitors.

I was very happy with the service of the staff at rent a bomb in Blackburn and i would recommend anymore to visit the staff for a car any time of the year thanks again from Andrew Battershell regular customer

Fabulous. Have had to come to Melbourne urgently. Car pre booked fell over. So my sister got onto Rent a Bomb. How can you go wrong. So cheap and affordable. Easy to drive had the airconditioning l wanted. Next time l come to Melb I'll be pre booking my car from these guys. Thanks Rent a Bomb Blackburn

First bad review I've ever left a business I'm sorry to say and I've experienced some shocking stuff but yeh horrible attitude just now dropping off the key and picking up the deposit unbelievable... 

I bounce in with a big 'gday there!' To scowling 'YOUR CARD THANKS!' and yeh was so nasty i forgot to hand her the keys only to hear 'EXCUSE ME, THE KEYS!' being screamed at me across the car park, smiling and jogging back to her laughing 'yeh oops sorry about that!' she snatches them from me not missing the chance to crank that scowl into warp factor 10 before storming back inside?

I've been renting from rent a bomb for 20 years or more and always had good things to say (I've rented similarly from europcar and bayswater rentals for 'nicer' cars) couldn't get the van i needed from Richmond and didn't want to drive through the city to get it from south Melbourne, both places I've got the van from recently, so came to Blackburn, was heading further east with it anyway, droping the ban back around 615pm 7hrs after i got it but having to drop in this morning to drop the keys back and pick up the deposit...

In future I'll go elsewhere, the $10 savings isn't worth it...

Edit: I've just read through other reviews after posting this and can see I'm not the only person experiencing this woman's malice? What gives rent-a-bomb?
