I'm giving the Regatta 3 stars because we have been denied access to the main bar twice due to them booking out the the place, parking is terrible, the girl in the pokies room has very poor customer service skills and should not be working with the public if she can not hide her rudeness at least. On a good note! The main bar has amazing and knowledgeable staff who are always pleasant, the range of wine and cocktails are good and the food is decent.

My partner and I ate at The Boatshed on Valentines Day, now while the food, atmosphere and waitresses were perfect for the entirety of the experience. getting through the door was a little tough. We had a reservation for 8:15pm, but there was no reservation line and we had to wait for almost 10 minutes while the group in front of us were just looking for a table without a reservation. Another point; the lady at the front desk was not welcoming, we received no "Hello, how are you this evening?" or any general feeling of welcome. As someone who prides themselves on customer service, this was definitely a big pitfall, especially working in the hospitality industry where a customer should feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door. She might have been having a bad night or maybe she was overwhelmed by how busy everything was but it's not an excuse to me, after a brief interaction with no eye contact or pleasantries we were practically palmed off to, thankfully, a lovely waitress (who's name I'm blanking on currently). The food was definitely amazing and everything came out relatively quickly, for a busy restaurant the atmosphere was surprisingly calm with exception to a large table seating a group of elderly women and too much wine. We had a lovely time, the food was great and we would definitely love to go again, just maybe have one of the lovely waitresses man the front desk and some sort of signage with what to do if you have a reservation?

Took the ferry to and from this well known institution. There were four apparent eating areas — tall tables with tall stools, the outside veranda, a comfortable clustered pub area with comfy chairs and padded low stools and an alfresco-type dining area. The food was modern Australian and high moderate priced. The choices were original and tasty.

My Friend worked for the Regatta Hotel once. I recently went here for dinner and I get now why everyone hates it and why my friend left. The staff are disgustingly rude and snobby and don’t know how to dress themselves. The food is disgusting my steak was cold in the middle COLD. Everything is over priced even a soft drink. I did want to go to the Regatta for dinner but it was a family event so I had no choice. But I understand now why my friend quit. She was being bullied by a faul human being who works in the kitchen and has disgusting tattoos all over her body even a stupid Diamond one on her chest makes her look trashy. I don’t know how her boyfriend can stomach looking at her ugly face and body. Not nice being bullied is it?? Those words hurt?? Good because that is how you made my friend feel when she worked at the Regatta and you bullied her relentlessly.

Great location and atmosphere, versatile place to celebrate different occasions from the restaurant to main bar to walrus club beneath. Food is excellent, love the seasonal menu changes whilst keeping the classics, and service is consistently good. Definitely a Brisbane icon!
