My partner and I had our daughter at the Redlands Hospital and were very pleasant surprised with the follow up to the birth as well as the birth itself. All of the midwives were so helpful and very keen to share their knowledge with us as we went out into the world with a newborn. My partner got her own private room and was able to stay for 24 hours. She was looked after very well and I was even able to get some sleep too! Would recommend to anyone.
My experience with Reland Hospital Was a positive one. I fronted up to the Emergency Department with a bad cut on my knee which needed stitches. The ladies in the reception area were very kind and I was able to register with them quickly and efficiently. A dressing was put on my knee to curb the bleeding. Then I was directed to waiting room. This did take some time. But not too bad considering the amount of people to be processed. Eventually I was taken through, given an overall health check. My knee was stitched up and I was on my way. Overall a positive experience.
The staff at the emergency department are fantastic. Their level of care and service was world class. Hopefully I do t have to go back, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate knowing how professional and caring they are.
Had an unfortunate event take place and found myself in the Emergency Department. Dr Alan Nagatani - Rose was awesome, not only was it super busy, Dr Alan handled every patient with care and compassion. He truly took the time to hear what was wrong and made me feel very comfortable with handling my emotions / injuries. I am very grateful and thankful. Dr Alan, you’re a true asset to the ED Team.
I want to say thank you to absolutely EVERYONE that dealt with me from admin to technicians and of course the doctors and nurses. Treated with such respect and kindness. Redlands is an amazing hospital and we are so lucky to have such an amazing public hospital. Everyone there should get a pay rise <3
We seem to post negative reviews before we post positive reviews. I had surgery at Redlands Public in December-21 and I can not fault any of the staff members. All nurses, ICU staff, post ICU staff were absolutely wonderful!
Turning up to ED on a Saturday night was not something I was keen on but after reaching a new level of clumsy, I required stitches between my toes. Being that this was necessary but not urgent, I spent some quality time with two lovely nurse practitioners, who sewed me up and didn't judge me in my drunken state. Thank you!
Traumatising experience 4 weeks ago, provided feedback via consumer team, was promised a call back and never recieved one. Worried if I never need hospital services again this is my closest hospital. Was discharged home too early and readmitted to another hospital the next day and spend 2 weeks in hospital thereafter with my baby, when this could have been prevented if thorough checks had been made of my baby and I. I was made to feel by a midwife that I was lying about my pain. Some of the midwifes were lovely, caring and compassionate however, unfortunately 1 was not. I was discharged 48 hours after a c-section on the dot. If I asked any questions, I was referred to folder of information. Really disappointed with the care received and unnecessary trauma of post care following birth and subsequent readmission. My baby was premature 4 weeks also. On readmission to another hospital, multiply medical staff commented on how we should still be on a maternity ward recovering and my child needed to be at special care unit nursery.
Had a wonderful experience in ED tonight, hubby cut his finger opened, got stitches, we were very very lucky, only 1.5hrs from arrival to departure! Nurses and Doctor were amazing, admin staff were so friendly! We did get lucky usually there are long waits, Redlands really need an after hours doctors clinic, so many people present to ED for GP needs but all GP’s are closed. Thank you to all health workers at Redlands, you all work so hard and deal with so much craziness.
Complete lack of knowledge and experience from the Outpatient booking number. Was put on hold for 10 minutes just to be told too bad, not our problem. No regard for patients whatsoever, Disgusted What a way to spend tax payers money...
