We purchased a Quintrex 350 Dart and had Sunshine Coast Marine wire it with lights and a sounder. The wiring is done very professionally and the attention to detail is exceptional. Mitch was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Sunshine Coast Marine.
Unable to book a warranty issue service for 10 weeks, if this business doesn't want dealership responsibilities, get out and hand over the dealership to someone who who will deliver customer service
Mark was excellent to deal with, had great product knowledge and kept me informed and up to date from order to delivery. A really easy and hassle free buying experience.
Ray is very knowledgeable and a true professional to deal with and his staff follow his lead and provide a service and level of care difficult to find these days. All the advantages of a modern business with the core values of a local small town business makes it my go to shop front for almost all my chandelery needs. Highly recommended.
Went here during the week trying to find some bits for my Yamaha, no one really knew anything at all about parts so I gave up on that but purchased some lights which were reasonably priced but still $12 more than BCF for the exact same brand. Came back Saturday morning to return as it’s not working and they’re shut. A boat shop shut on Saturday morning. If you don’t want local business you’re doing a good job of telling everyone.
I have been a customer here for many years and have always enjoyed dealing with rays people until now. The ‘sales manager’ mark as he told me twice knows less about boats than anyone I’ve ever met and couldn’t look me in the eye once. Such a shame as this store was once fantastic with staff that had knowledge.
Ray Scholes Marine have a great range of motors and accessories for boats. They are really honest and easy to deal with, having most parts are in store. If they do have to order it is usually there quite quickly. The staff are very experienced and you know you are in good hands. It's a delight to recommend a company with such a high level of customer service, well worth a 5 Star Rating...
Still waiting on a quote on a 115 Yamaha 6 weeks later. 2nd attempt to get a quote from here in 6 months. Sales guy doesn’t know accurate details on engines or much at all Going with Suzuki
The single worst customer interaction I have ever had, courtesy of, if memory serves correct, Rod. A couple of days ago I organised a few parts in store, I was told to leave it with them and they would call back shortly with the final price. They called back shortly midway through the next day and gave me the price, and told me I would have to come into the store and pay before they would be ordered. So this morning I went into the store with the full cash amount a relatively small $151. However, before payment I said I had just one question. "Why is a full amount required before the parts are even ordered and not a deposit or simply full payment upon pick up? Much like the majority of local business I deal with on a very regular basis, hence why I thought this was a perfectly fair and justified query. I order a lot of parts around the local area for wide range of vehicles and vessels and rarely encounter this style of payment/ordering system, again, hence my initial question. To be clear with him I reiterated that I had the cash there and the payment was not necessarily the issue, rather it was me being inquisitive. This was where it all went downhill, like flicking a switch his demeanour changed to snappy and rude. I proceeded to be told it was store policy and they didn't want to be left with parts if I didn't come back. Now while I don't necessarily agree with paying for something that isn't sitting in front of me, I can appreciate it from a financial standpoint. ..Unfortunately what was a bit of a rant by this stage, didn't stop there, I was then told I didn't know how to run a business and that he had better things to do then talk to me pointing at his computer screen, furthermore that I should just go somewhere else if I didn't like it. Now let me be very clear, the payment policy itself is not what has prompted this review, something I am very rarely motivated to do. The review is based on the worst attitude and most hostile customer service interaction I have ever had. What started off as what I thought to be a very fair question turned to downright abuse and was handled with complete lack of professionalism. The problem with this sort of poor behaviour is that you have no idea who the customer is, what their financial position is, their future spending plans are and what businesses/marine operators in the noosa river they work alongside of on a daily basis. It begs the question of whether I would have been treated differently had I been spending $1500 or $15000. So yes, I will be taking my business elsewhere, after what was quite frankly an appalling display of how not to treat a customer, I will be staying clear of this business at all costs. It would do a great deal to remember: Great customer service costs nothing
Very disappointed and will be going elsewhere. The owner is rude, dismissive and knows next to nothing I got more help from another customer finding the right oil filter. Only open till 4 so clearly not worried about helping customers or operating a business.
