After having a really crappy coffee somewhere else (and no, I won't name names), we went in search of a good hit of caffeine. And bingo, we found it at Racetrack Cafe. Friendly service too.

We received two salads that were solely dressed with olive oil, and the duck for my risotto was dry and overcooked. Three out of four people in our dining party did not enjoy their meal. The maître d asked if there were any issues and offered no apology of any kind when they removed the meals, one of which was practically untouched. There are many great options in Berwick, this is not one of them.

Although service was pleasant, a simple meal of veg pizza and nachos took forever to come to us. The pizza base was a bought pitta with mostly onion as the topping. The nacho toppings were straight from a jar. Overpriced for quality of food and a five year old could have cooked a better meal. Sorry, but it's the truth.
