Just purchased my first pair of R.M Williams boots, the place was relatively busy on a Monday morning, waited 10 minutes before I got served, was greeted with a wonderful smile from Basil, he is very knowledgeable in the product range and the current stock in the store, he was really fast in getting the size I wanted and recommended some shoe care product as well. Awesome experience thanks to Basil! Excellent service! Excellent shoes!!
Great product, buy online or elsewhere as the employees in this store are close to useless. Went to buy a second pair of boots however there were out of stock in my size in store. Let the store order them in for me to collect, however after two weeks and two follow up visits to the store no update on my order. Had I ordered them myself I'd have had them within 5 days as they continue to show in-stock on their website. Was promised a follow up after they'd spoken with the warehouse but nothing after a week.
Really disappointed with the customer service provided at Forest Chase store today. Love my RM Williams but would advise anyone looking to buy from this store to clarify sizing of boots and be cautious that if they don’t “wear in” as you are told at time of purchase you will be up for large costs and a long time without your boots. This accompanied by a side serve of smugness from store manager.
Wonderful service, the young lady who served me today and took the trouble to wrap my gift voucher was lovely, friendly and very helpful. The whole team took the time to say hello and have a wonderful day - makes me feel good and I can't wait to shop here again. Merry Christmas to you all!
After much peer pressure to buy a pair of $600 boots, I visited the store. Despite me telling them my size, they insisted on selling me boots two sizes smaller, with the promise that they would stretch. Well.. it's 6 months later, and the boots are still unwearable.. intense pain from cramming my feet into them on a daily basis. This product is ALL hype and NO customer focus!
I called to ask whether they had my size in store and they said yep, we have 2 in store. I arrive in store within minutes and get unapologetically told they don’t have any of that size in store. The rep from the next door Myers stall tell me they stuffed up and the only store showing my size is Claremont. Well done for talking me out of spending a fortune on your boots, I’ll buy another brand who offers better customer service, shouldn’t be hard to find.
Worst RM store I’ve been too! Just because I had my gym clothes on doesn’t mean you shouldn’t serve me with respect. I’m not from Perth & go to all of the stores i travel through - so disappointed. Absolute Rubbish. PS I own 3 pairs of custom made - you do the math…
Headed in today for some new boots and a completely new outfit, was assisted by a young bloke didn't grt his name who was very professional, super knowledgeable on what I was after and went above and beyond in assisting me. This store can get busy but be patient and you'll be assisted right away. I'll be back soon!
Great product, but awful service and rude sales staff. I own several pairs of RM Williams boots and unfortunately this isn't the first time that I've experience below-standard service. I dropped in a pair of boots for a resole, and it took a month longer and cost 50% more than I had been told to expect. This doesn't bother me, as I understand that sometimes it's hard to tell what work is required until the sole has been pulled off the boot. However, when I suggested to the sales assistant that it would have been nice to be notified of the delay and cost increase, I was simply told that I'd signed the receipt agreeing that additional work may be required. There was no apology for the delay, no explanation of the extra work required, and no acknowledgement that my expectation to be informed about the delay and cost increase was a reasonable request. RM Williams aren't unique in offering high quality shoes, they are only unique within Australia. RM Williams hardly invented the Chelsea Boot it's named after the area in London. I want to love RM Williams as a great Aussie brand with a great product that is made in Australia. However, if a borrowed design and an Aussie flag is all that they have to offer, then unfortunately I find it hard to recommend the brand. Particularly considering that there are numerous English and Spanish shoemakers who offer similar or superior quality at an equivalent price.
No acknowledgment when entering the store and after asking for some assistance I was told..‘sorry we were doing some paperwork’. In the end my particular boot size was not available in store or in Perth and the only option available was for me to purchase a pair from over East so I could do the fitting, which is preferable before placing an order to have your pair made to order. I was advised this is the R.M.Williams process. I suggest you relook at this process and possibly have a pair of boots available of each size, rather than asking your customer to purchase a pair to compensate for your shortcomings. Overall not a good retail experience.
