I have been staying at this hotel for over 6 years for work and it has gone through different management several times in this period. The Bar has undergone extensive renovation and is now called the Good Home - excellent upgrade and is always busy being a gastro pub. The rooms in the main reception building are smaller but nicer they have air-con and are modern. The larger rooms although having undergone some renovations could still use air-con instead of the ceiling fans which are pretty useless. All rooms now have this green environment and skin friendly soaps and hand-washes - although be very careful as the housings for these have sharp edges and will cut you - I have several times!! Rooms now include breakfast - of which they should as you are being charged nearly a second mortgage to stay there. As for the breakfast itself - well. There is a variety of choice of fresh breakfast items - yoghurt and fruit etc. The cooked buffet food is bordering on disgusting and inedible to mildly food poisonous! If you like your scrambled eggs like rice pudding then this is the place for you - and the sausages have barely been unfrozen with that rare pink colour on the inside - be warned!!

Staff exceptionally nice.Can't fault them.Over priced for what you get.Basic room but also very clean.
