PUBLIC is an eatery, bar and function space located on Franklin Street, a short distance from Adelaide’s Victoria Square and CBD.
Our style is an eclectic mix of ‘old and new’, inspired by the theme of public spaces, such as old railway stations & grand libraries. PUBLIC is a destination eatery for the quick lunch or the lingering foodie.
Begin your day with an outstanding organic coffee and gourmet breakfast from 7am. You can indulge in dishes such as the Coconut Tapioca, Smashed Avo’, Smokey Pork & Tomato Ragout or the “Bowl of the Good Stuff!” Wash this down with a selection of Brunch Cocktails, available on Saturdays for #PublicBrunch.
For lunch, we offer a full kitchen menu starting with small plates designed to share, such as the Duck Rillette, Blue Cheese Croquettes & House-Made Citrus Cured Salmon. For something larger, our main dishes include, House-Made Linguine with Confit Octopus, Vongole, Crab & Chilli, the Ballantine of Chicken Cooked in Hay or the Confit Pork Belly.
For those customers “on-the-go” we offer gourmet rolls, and fresh house-made salads.
We pride ourselves on our delicious range of pastries and desserts. All made in-house by our pastry chef.
Relax and toast to the end of the working week with us on Friday afternoons til’ late for #PublicWineDown. Resident DJ provides chilled beats and a selection of small and large plates are available from the kitchen, as well as drink specials and wine recommendations.
