I have been going to ProMed Doctors since 2016. I have always had good experiences with the doctors here. I'm so glad that I have a bunch of amazing ones to choose from too! Dr. Flight, Dr. Lawson, Dr. Rogers, and Dr. Antley not to leave out the others because I'm sure they're great too, but these are the ones I have been seen by. It is reassuring to know that no matter who I see, I receive the same level of care and attention. Not to mention the two amazing Nurses, Carolyn and Kylie Such lovely people. I really feel like this practice cares about their patients and no matter where I have moved over the years, I've always stuck with ProMed Doctors. Thank you
Super friendly, they use the ManageMyHealth app which I totally recommend and they are very competent. We use ProMed for our whole family two adults, two young kids for everything from vaccinations, check ups, to getting the usual prescriptions and tests. I really like that they’re an inclusive practice and their use of tech makes getting appointments and repeat prescriptions hassle-free, especially if you’re using the pharmacy next door.
You guys really need to sort out your receptionist. The doctors are amazing and lovely but one particular receptionist has no phone manner and talks to people like they are stupid. I’ve only just changed doctors because I heard how great Pro Med was. I feel like changing back to my old doctors.
As others have said, receptionist is extremely rude, she shut me down very fast and she told me I could not get a referall for a blood test from a nurse... well I did. I don't mind that she made a mistake but her attitude was extremely off putting. Nurses and Dr's are extremely lovely and polite, very friendly aswell but unfortunately the receptionist is the first person to deal with.
I’ve been a patient at ProMed for many years now, apart from when I wasn’t living in CHCH. The Drs and Nurses are fantastic and the reception team friendly & helpful. A special mention to Carolyn P who always remembers my name and is just such a lovely person. Thank you!
My gp was amazing at her job and showed alot of patient care. I wish reception and nursing staff and managers showed the same level of care. Promeds level of communication is beyond poor, it could take up to 2-3 weeks to get back with a definite answer. I had a server medical injury where I was declined proper pain relief and to be reffered back to a specialist from another Dr. The nurses and reception showed no respect for me when I was having to chase up my own blood test results that were urgent, after the phone call I had to call a crisis helpline as they put me in a mentally stressed state. When making a formal complaint Promed was very defensive and took very little responsibility for how they treated me and didn't even complete an accurate investigation. I move to promed doctors in the beginning of the year as I got told how amazing my gp was and now i have left them a month or so ago. As my patient needs were not being addressed and I felt like I had no support or respect from promed and sadly from my experiences I can't recommend promed doctors as being a good GP practice. Which is sad as my GP was an amazing supportive doctor it's such a same no other staff would show me any patient respect or care.
I had very bad cough and made appointment with one of these doctors to get some help to cure it. I have been told the reason for my cough is “Gerd” which I had only once in my past. I kept saying to doctor that I only had gerd once in my life and i could literally feel gerd when i had it. But this time it’s definitely not gerd. I clearly feel like throat is infected and needs to be treated by finding the actual cause. But NO. Even previously when I had chest pain, stomach pain or even cough this time. These doctors open my profile and look at GERD written in my profile which I had just once in life. They just blame my every problem onto Gerd. It’s been now 3 weeks since I am having their so called Gerd treatment, coughing almost all day and having sleepless nights because of cough. Just because these doctor do not want to find out the actual problem of body rather than looking at my past history and prescribing me over the counter remedies. I literally burnt $55 for appointment as my cough didn’t get better at all. As a patient I can tell I have some infection causing me cough but these qualified doctors have absolute no interest to find out actual causes of problem. Terrible experience.
Seems that all bad reviews are relating to the receptionist and or customer service… But I am sure you will be quick to respond with excuses like every other review! Maybe look into a career that doesn’t involve customer interaction.. Projecting your negativity onto everyone who deals with you, when they are generally coming to you in a time of need. Recommend Travis Medical Centre or anywhere else..
Quite a good service here. Frequently really busy but they do their very best to meet your requirements. Car parking is off street nd quite tight to maneuver into. However most of the time there is a car park available. Appointments are essential. It is worth mentioning there is an attached pharmacy which is very handy.
As previous comments state, terribly rude reception staff. Being unwell can be mentally straining, dealing with a horrible person when youre asking for help can be extremely detrimental to someones health, which youre meant to he caring for.
