A bit conflicted with this place. It seems they are very thorough with the work they do. They're certainly very informative and give great advice. However as a backpacker I don't feel its the right place to go. I was quoted quite a large sum of money on a few big fixes to my car. I read through the roadworthy requirements before hand and there were a few questionable fixes. Obviously its totally subjective and its the testers call on what they feel may or may not pass. The fixes were understandable but were very much borderline with the specs as to whether they were pass or fails. I ended up retesting at another facility and was quoted a much lower sum of money with the fixes I was not sure about not even appearing on the inspection sheet. Overall I think they're great for a long term customer. They certainly take pride in their work and do genuinely care for the customers, but as a short term/backpacker car owner I would do a lot of research into the best garage for you. I think its important to say that a backpacker friend of mine used these guys and had no issues, they quoted him a very reasonable sum for his roadworthy and he was happy. This isn't a negative review but just a heads up for those on a tight budget to do your research before you commit

My car broke down in St Kilda 4.00pm in the afternoon 37degrees C.  Eov came to my rescue by patching it up enough to drive it to his workshop. In the meanwhile he had called and ordered parts to be able to fix it the very next day. It was ready for collection by 12.00pm the next day. He truly is a very kind and thoughtful person and aims to help and please. I am a very happy customer and would recommend this mechanic to anyone.

Unfortunately did not have a good experience with this shop. I took my bike in to get a RWC and was not advised that they would not be able to perform any maintenance required to pass the check. This lead me to have to go back to the shop, pick up the bike and drop it off at another mechanic to actually perform the work needed on the bike. 

Even though I was very efficient getting the bike to another shop I was not able to get the work done within the 7 days required by VicRoads. This meant that I had to pay for another RWC check.

If they had told me that they would not be able to perform the maintenance required I would have never of chosen that shop the get the RWC. They should be more honest about their capabilities instead of 'surprising' the customer with this news.

So friendly and a family run business. They were so helpful and even fixed my wing mirror free of charge. Will only use this garage from now on.

Cracked my transmission sump (low car) oil leaking everywhere. Helen fitted me in immediately on Friday afternoon on the long weekend, got the spares and had me back on the road. Evo is straightforward and fair to deal with.
