It is very easy for the very few people who return their cars with damage to write nasty reviews! Fortunately there are so very few of them! We do not now own this business but in response to a couple of really nasty comments, read between the lines! There is one client who is posting comments under different names! Car rental owners prefer their vehicles come back undamaged and it is very difficult for us all. Generally it means we are without an income from that vehicle! We are able under our conditions to charge off road however we NEVER do! If it is the fault of another car we go after that owner to recompense our client wherever possible. Please, be fair in your comments but then people like the ones who have posted these nasty reviews have no conscience! They will not take responsibility. shame on them! Port Douglas Car hire is a small privately owned business with regulations set out by our insurers. We don't make the rules for hire!

The staff were very friendly and helpful at port douglas car hire. They will come and pick you up from hotel and take you to their office for the paperwork. Very reasonable prices. Local car rental company recommended by our hotel concierge. Rented a Corolla for $70 for the day. This service was very useful. Their office staff was super helpful with tips, directions and coupons for attractions.

Friendly & helpful staff and great vehicles at competitive prices. I've been back 3-4 times & I'd certainly recommend them. The pickup service.
