Central location in Port Village Shopping Centre off Macrossan St. Large underground car park with access via stairs or lift. Trolleys stored off to the right of the entrances which was not convenient. Shelves well stocked. Staff helpful. Usual selection of specials.
Not used to the way the half the refrigerated items cheese and ham are on the left-hand side of the store. Normally, they would be in full height refrigerator with doors, but most fridges are open and half height. But anyways, a good super market to have instead of eating out a the time when on holidays.
I've really never attended a supermarket with such poorly stocked shelves. Granted this Coles has got to be at the end of the transport line in North Queensland, but seriously, it didn't seem to matter what day or time, we just couldn't rely on this supermarket to actually have fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and sometimes milk? There were no extenuating circumstances like a natural disaster or a COVID run on toilet paper. It was holiday period, which I would assume is even more reason to have back up stock? It was that bad three times in a row, we ended up at the IGA and even the Woolworths at the next town north. Just crazy!
I would like to share my appreciation for Amruta at Coles. She is always incredibly helpful, kind, and professional during my visits. Her friendly attitude and genuine willingness to assist always make my shopping experience so much better. It's refreshing to see staff who truly care about customers. Thank you, Amruta – you’re a real asset to the Coles team!
Grocery store that has most of what you’d need for making meals at home. With so many people in the store it was very busy and some items were not on the shelves, despite the staff continually refilling stock.nnWe made sure to get breakfast items and a few snacks.
