Well done to a young man named Anzac. In store this afternoon he assisted me on the self-serve checkout around 1.30pm. Anzac was extremely customer focused and very helpful! I found Anzac to be friendly, articulate, professional and eager to assist. Anzac genuinely wanted to make my shop at Coles Port Douglas a very positive experience.nWhat an asset and addition he would make to any commercial business.
Central location in Port Village Shopping Centre off Macrossan St. Large underground car park with access via stairs or lift. Trolleys stored off to the right of the entrances which was not convenient. Shelves well stocked. Staff helpful. Usual selection of specials.
Better than average product range exceedingly busy through the days but early open and late close means there’s always a time that’s less crowded. With a proper deli counter it’s the better of the 2 local supermarkets.
Absolutely disgusted to find out that i was forced to check out my own groceries. Not one checkout was manned. Over a billion $ profit by coles and you wont employ people to run the registers. Will be looking for alternative shops in the future.
What an awful experience shopping here. While some of the staff were amazing it’s a shame that some are allowed to be so rude and disrespectful to even a genuine respectful question. I found one staff member in this Coles to be so disrespectful and nasty I’m amazed she is still employed. It’s time management took the responsibility to guide team members how to deal with the general public
