It has everything you need while on holidays and they have some surprising good deals. This trip while we were up here they had the 25 pack of Ferrero Rocher for $5, : can't go wrong.nnOne tip if your holidaying and you need bread go early as it does sell out pretty fast
Central location in Port Village Shopping Centre off Macrossan St. Large underground car park with access via stairs or lift. Trolleys stored off to the right of the entrances which was not convenient. Shelves well stocked. Staff helpful. Usual selection of specials.
I've really never attended a supermarket with such poorly stocked shelves. Granted this Coles has got to be at the end of the transport line in North Queensland, but seriously, it didn't seem to matter what day or time, we just couldn't rely on this supermarket to actually have fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and sometimes milk? There were no extenuating circumstances like a natural disaster or a COVID run on toilet paper. It was holiday period, which I would assume is even more reason to have back up stock? It was that bad three times in a row, we ended up at the IGA and even the Woolworths at the next town north. Just crazy!
This place is really good for where it's situated. On Christmas Eve we expected it to be super busy but the staff were all alert and helpful which made shopping easier.
Def setup for tourists etc. Weird layout and small selection but I dare say perfect for where it is.
