We have hire a car from the Port Douglas motel for the last three years ,the rates are the best we have found in Port Douglas,the staff are brilliant and the cars are very clean and reliable.

We hired out a small car at a great rate, clean, just what we needed and easy return.

Booked the same car for a different day, requested a baby seat as we had done previously but on pick up there was no baby seat available. My wife was sent to a different location to pick up a baby seat, seat did not fit the car as it lacked the standard extension belt to attach babyseat to cars anchor point. My wife then returned to original hire (PD Motel) to ask for an extension belt which they didn't have.

In the end my wife wasted her time and didn't get the car, had to go to another rental company.

I know we're all human but if you're running a car rental business then it makes sense to have enough child seats to cover your fleet or at least know to inform people when they're not available.

Our family had a great day out in the Jeep Wrangler convertible.  Berny was a great help and gave us  some maps and information about what to do.  He even told us about some secret local swimming holes which were amazing.  We went up to Cape Tribulation and the kids had a great time with the roof off and the weather luckily was superb.  

Thanks again! We will be back next time school holidays.

Best car hire experience I've ever had! The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us some great advice on what to see around the area. Our car was in excellent condition and the rates were very affordable. It is a 'no frills' car hire service, everything was very easy and upfront. Would highly recommend these guys for car hire in Port Douglas!!
