Highly recommended! Service was fantastic the guy working there was super friendly and up for a chat and very helpful with explaining everything! Booked for two hours with my partner and that was great if you’re just going for a nice cruise up the river. Didn’t see a croc but fingers crossed we do next time! I highly recommend doing this as it’s a great peaceful and relaxing way to spend a couple of hours in port Douglas.
Always a pleasure to take a ride on the Port Douglas Boat Hire. The woman who runs the hiring is extremely approachable and kind. She always welcomes us with a smile and is happy to see our family. We usually do this at least twice a year for the past 4-5 years for 4 hours cruising along sightseeing. Over our time we’ve seen some amazing crocodiles on the mud banks. Full length, amazing. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you Port Douglas Boat Hire.
We had a beautiful two hours exploring the estuary on one of these boats. The manager was so helpful in setting us up and giving instructions. We tried our luck at fishing and only caught a puffer fish which went straight back in the water! We saw a croc on the river bank. We were out just as the sun was setting and it was so calm - just a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours in Port Douglas. The kids enjoyed the experience and it was very good value.
Had a great day out. Easy as boat to control and good fishing and sceanery. Remember to take mozzie spray and sunscreen. Defiantly a must do in Port Douglas.
Fantastic couple of hours just cruising down the river. Iain was very helpful and great at getting us out on the water. Made our week seeing a croc as well!

Brilliant place and great service. Ian was awesome. We rang on a cloudy day when we couldn't do much up here and Ian said it was great whether to go out, and he was right. It's really simple to drive the boats, the instructions were quick and helpful. We went out with a 3 and 4 yr old. We caught 3 fish easily without much time in the water and they setup the rods for us, kids were stoked and had a great day. Very reasonably priced and great experience, get on down if you're in town.
Rented a boat for 2 hours and had great time . Sue the owner was really friendly and gave us fantastic instructions on how to navigate the river system . At $49 per hour you cant complain . Very well priced and will definetly be back .
This was a fantastic day out. Kids loved searching for crocs as we cruised around the river. Sue was super helpful, very knowledgeable and really lovely. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
