Hit and miss, friendly staff and nice service.nWe came for lunch today, the bar staff was friendly and helpful.nWe were served by a nice friendly waiter. Lunch was served, the lamb roast was nice and a generous serve.nFresh pepper was offered which is rare these days.nMy lunch however was very disappointing, it was the Lamb salad. The salad itself was nice, fresh and tasty. The lamb was not at all what I expected. It was what I can only guess as being pulled lamb formed into two thin bricks, that were then fried. I think they may have been reheated a few too many times because they were very dry and looked dry and uneatable. So I ate the salad and left the poor excuse of lamb.nWhen asked by the friendly waiter I told him what my thoughts were and I was offered a free desert, which I declined as i didn’t feel like having desert. When we went to pay they didn’t charge us for my salad, which was much appreciated.nSo would I go back, probably because the roast was nice and so was the serves, so I’d give them another chance.
The pub food is amazing - quick, taste sensation. When they take your food order they also take your drinks order! Good old fashioned country service!nnMassive shout out to Scott, he made our night - 2 tables one of parents the other of 20 year old kids - managed the two perfectly with absolute professional and humour - absolute legend!
Very good place to rest after a long drive, location very convenient, and has its own bar/ restaurant. I just surprised when others motel/ hotel offered high prices but here at Pinsent Hotel is so much affordable prices, Room with small bath but it's does it's works and Tv ,OK, heater O K. Only doona I thinks it's too old , overall 5 star , friendly staff and a lot of parking car around. Recommended places to stay.
Great meals today by 5 out of 6 people. The seniors fish was generous and tasty. The 3 parmas were very tasty. The tandoori chicken was dry but the salad and rosti was nice. Have been a few times and generally the meals were lovely.
Came for lunch today with family. Ordered lamb roast as advised it was the roast of the day , only to be given pork roast . Not informed at any stage that they had run out of lamb so was just given pork without being asked if I was okay with it. Lucky I didn’t have an allergy to pork. And on top of that, the meal was dry seemed reheated and terrible. Not happy!
