Came here with the family for lunch and to follow it up with a trip upstairs to the donuts Staff were fantastic. Visited multiple times during our stay in Townsville. Doughnuts are so good, really fresh and great flavours. Didn't try the pies but they looked good too.
Amazing pies.the only down part was, that we only got one pie the right flavor. 2 times mince instead of one mince and one steak. I think the girl behind the counter didn't understand what we were ordering. Ordered some other stuff as well. It was definitely delicious!
The interior is fun and colorful, filled with art, and has the resemblance of an aged cafe. The coffee was really well made and the tea was excellent. Highly recommend "World Peace" tea. It was fresh and soothing with a hint of mint.Altho the ambience is that of a noisy farmer's market it is worth the stop. Choices of toppings, fillings. Tacos including the soft corn taco itself made to order. What makes these the best is the flavourful crispy corn taco shell. With choice of homemade salsas diced cabbage and creamy guacamole sauce extremely tasty.
Good pies, good donuts, great staff.
The sign that says 24hrs is very misleading. My drunken self at 4am walks past this and my eyes shed a tear when the lights are off. Food is awesome however and most of the staff make it a pleasing experience when ordering. Bit of a tight squeeze at the busy times, especially on the weekends. The waiting in the isolated space is worth it when you receive your heavenly meat pie fresh and hot out of the oven!
Purchased curry beef pie and a cheese and spinach roll. Pie was very tasty, lots of filling. Unfortunately the spinach and cheese roll was tasteless, only thing that made it bearable was that it had nice puff pastry. Staff were friendly. Cost a little over $8
My friend and i purchased a couple of pies, besides being predominately stock and mince, the rather obese lady decided to be incredibly rude behind the counter. I paid the money and she proceeded to toss the change at me, so I had to pick it up around me and off the floor. She also decided to toss the sauce at my friend, and offered poor apology for this. We felt quite shamed and the quality of pie was low grade. No chunky steak, just a cheeky bit of mince here and there and a lot of beef stock gravey. Very rude and nasty. And you had to pay for sauce.
Absolutely delicious pies pastries and donuts. Plus they have a great kids party thing going where you decorate your own donut. Love this place. Staff are great too.
Staff were wonderful. The bacon and cheese pie was terrible, pastry soggy and possibly undercooked. I will however, go back and try the donuts because they looked quite nice.
Instead of going to Macca's late at night, come to the Pie House instead and sit in to enjoy a variety of pies and rolls with coffee, milkshakes and treats. Open 24 Hours majority of the week for your convenience with friendly staff. Reasonably priced.
