The hotel is set in a very picturesque town and has water views. Accommodation is usual for this type of hotel. I have to say that my one night here has been the best sleep I’ve had since arriving in NZ 10 days ago. The food in the dining room was superb with one lady looking after a crowded busy room extremely well. All staff were excellent with their service. It was well worth my time to stop here after the ferry ride from Wellington before catching the train to Christchurch.
I was traveling with my sister who is handicapped. The staff was accommodating and upgraded our room so we had more space. The location is perfect for connections between ferry and train. Also the restaurant was delicious. For lunch we found a great bakery a block away. I will stay here again
This is a lovely hotel. All the staff I met were very polite, friendly and helpful. My room was well appointed and very clean. There were tea and coffee facilities. I did not have a room with a view to the harbour, but that was fine.nOverall, I'd say a lovely place, very good value for money, and I'd definitely stay there again if I returned to Picton.
Good location, rooms very clean.nStayed here two years ago and had a great sea view room. However the standard and service seems to have gone down. Staff OK, but compared to other NZ hotels not up to the same standard.
We had an upgraded room with a fabulous view out over the pool and to the harbour and sounds. Amazing views. Loved watching the ferries coming and going at night under lights. Our room was clean, quiet and serviced daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved our stay. Will definitely be back again.
