We had an upgraded room with a fabulous view out over the pool and to the harbour and sounds. Amazing views. Loved watching the ferries coming and going at night under lights. Our room was clean, quiet and serviced daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved our stay. Will definitely be back again.
An absolute disappointment. We arrived at the Yacht club in terrible weather and were told to park outside our room. Our ferry was cancelled literally 30 mins later and had to take an earlier crossing. No compensation from the Yacht club as we had entered the room. Understandable but annoying. We then get a parking breach notice with an $85 fine on top of the full room charge. Which we dispute. This is a money grabbing hotel with poor service and no respect for guests wellbeing. We will not be staying here again and recommend you ask the hotel where the parking is to ensure you don’t get a follow up fine!!
I've stayed here twice now October 2019 & 2024 and both experiences have been fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are always clean, tidy and comfortable - with a lovely balcony view. We spent our evenings relaxing on the balcony, watching the boats come into Picton Harbour, very peaceful.nnThe bar and restaurant downstairs is also a highlight. I had the chicken quesadilla, and it was delicious - the portion size, price, and flavour were spot on! At reception, they offer refreshing ginger water, which was a perfect pre-ferry drink.nHighly recommended!
Amazing location. Definitely upgrade to a room with a view. Staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. The foyer of the hotel was nice but we entered the hallway and was a bit worried about what our room was going to be like as it was extremely worn and the carpet looked stained. However,our room was gorgeous. I'm picking they are in the process of doing up the hotel as the carpet in our room looked new.nWe did not use the restaurant for dinner, but went in for our free continental breakfast which was lovely. Lots of fresh fruit, pastries, toast, cereals, yogurt and fresh juice and coffee. My husband upgrade to a cooked breakfast for only $15. We'll worth it, especially if you get the big breakfast which is worth $30.nThe restaurant itself is quaint but definitely basic. But again, staff were lovely and friendly and service was good. The pancakes my husband had were great too.nAll in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel for price, location, cleanliness and friendly staff.
Thank you to the event manager for allowing us to use your conference room for my daughter 21st it was such an amazing room and allowing us to decorate it as we liked, Thank you to the staff and the Chef who had made the most delicious spread of food it was so amazing, some people have already asked about the conference room and the food so you might have a few more events happening, and I will certainly be recommended you..... thank you so much
