Bought a Subaru at Auction for 9k. Looked great, good service history. 3 months later total transmission failure. Replacement transmission is 6.5k. On reflection - not the best way to buy a car. I wouldn't do it again.
You can't inspect the cars any more - only fixed price and by appointment. What a joke. Why would you buy any car sight unseen - massive risk.
Used to love coming here to get our cars. Have purchased at least 5 cars in the past 5 years. We used to always be happy with our purchases but since the new management took over, we've been quite disappointed with our last purchase in May 2017. The car was not detailed properly, with LOTS of rubbish left under the car mat in the back seat crayons, pens, kid's toys, crumbs, biscuit pieces and crumbs and the boot dog fur all over!. We informed them and were asked to bring it back for a proper detailing nice of them and they only cleaned up the places where we took photos of and left the other areas. Couldn't be bothered to drive all the way to Fyshwick another time after that. The previous management would ensure that the car was sparkling clean the first time! There was a feeling that they were trying to churn out as many cars as they could in that period and could barely keep up with the cleaning and detailing, as photos and reports were being posted awfully close to the actual auction. This seems to have improved now, looking at the number of cars being listed but will find out if we ever buy from them again. Payment methods have become more limited since the change in management too, no longer allowing for bank transfers...? In addition, the fees seem to keep going up though the services seem to be going in the opposite direction. Would've given 5-stars to the Pickles under the previous management. This rating is in honour of their previous level of service with the hope that it can return to the glory days again soon!
Bought my car from here. Love my car. Had a couple of issues, air con and a 4 wheel drive light that kept coming on. All fixed and air con blowing like a gail thanks to their warranty people. Walked in Signed the papers, walked out to the car and drove home. Would do it all over again if I didnt love my ix35 so much.
Way understaffed for the huge hail damaged sales. Waiting times, wasted time even worse than Access offices. Low staffing means more profit at the buyers expense time. In my case they acknowledge an overpayment and will refund the 608 but when? It has been 8 business days and still they have my money. After a week I phoned old contacts in Pickles at Sydney. Nothing happened. So much for the admin fees -ACT Consumer Protection should prosecute for fraud. Stay away. In 24yrs i have never seen an outfit this bad. Website bidding system is flaky as. Grays and Manheim are smooth as silk by comparison to the current admin at Pickles. Never again.
I purchased a car from pickles fyshwick canberra Mercedes c250d coupe on fixed price . Paid full amount for the car on 6th of feb and picked up . When i start driving few errors shown up on dash . I can understand they don't offer test drive but they should mention on condition report. Took the car back on monday 10th of feb to pickles canberra and shown them evidence Photos of errors from the day i purchased. They sent me MIT automotive. They were so helpful and recommend to take car to Mercedes canberra . Went back to pickles because that was pre existing errors and the sales agent DAVID recommend and organise the booking with another workshop which is called anthony costello in fyshwick and didn't want to listen that their fault and start teaching me the process. He told me they just sell the cars and warranty covered by AWN insurance and told me they will look after your claim now. Basically he was trying to tell me we sold the car and now you deal with it . Myself and my wife went back to see there manager if he can do something about it . But he didn't bother to come out and talk to us . Only positive response we got from Arun. Who was trying to help us out from this situation . The worst part we paid the good amount of car and paying the interest from last two weeks and pickles using our hard earn money . This situation is soo stressful for us . Thinking to lodge a complaint to ACCC . I won't recommend to anyone this place .
I buy Mazda 6 2018 Repairable write off they didn’t upload the photos of side airbags and driver seat on pickles web site and they didn’t send the car key which on purchase time the key was in the car and as well I ask the pickles to deliver the car to my home but the delivered to Salisbury pickles. I RECOMMEND Do Not Buy Online From them until you not inspected. Don’t believe them -5 star
Honest and quick to answer questions and sold us our new family car for a great deal!
Girls who spoke to me did not know the general procedure of picking up the car from car yard, these helpless staff members caused me to waste time and money. They have no motivation to help customers in general. They are good at putting on makeup and fake smile.
Look for ex government or finance cars. This way you have better chances to end up with an ok vehicle. But buyers BE AWARE of privately owned cars. Have them checked and if you can't take them and I don't think you can for test drive think very carefully before you buy. No returns.
