I came to visit Piccolo’s by Plume last Friday. I came in around 9AM to avoid the rush. Had a large oat flat white and a smashed avo. The coffee is stronger than what I’m used to but, I liked it over-all. Especially when they still tried to make a latte art even if I asked for an oat milk. Oat milk doesn’t have the same texture and consistency like dairy milk which makes it hard to utilise for a latte art. The smashed avo is freshly made, I can tell by its colour and taste. It’s portion size is perfect and right for the price. The stand out is the staff really. Everyone’s smiling, from FOH; Ivan and Bhuwan; and, the kitchen people, Lora and Jordan. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends.
Was completely surprised to see how beautiful the new owners have renovated this place! The menu is glorious, food can’t be any fresher or better presented! Every dish is perfect! The outdoor section is very tranquil, clean and perfect to enjoy their amazing food and drinks! They have so many healthy options on the menu too which is refreshing to see!
This place had big shoes to fill. It replaces Piccolos which was a long-standing Rozelle establishment for coffee and brunching. I think Grey Grus is better!!! I had a piccolo coffee and the most perfect omelette. The staff are delightful and did everything perfectly. They seemed to work well as a calm team. I was pleased to see they were all adults... and not underpaid teenagers, a practice I disapprove of. They have repainted in subtle hues of grey and selected takeaway cups in my favourite shade of cool cantelope. This is perfect- stylish but not too try-hard. This is a trait Rozelle does well. Thanks : Vegetarian options: No babies unless they don't cry or are exceptionally cute. Kids must be trained to behave well: quietly draw talk amongst themselves generally not too whiney or ungrateful. They should be happy to sit away from the table on the ground out of sight if they get bored waiting for parents too finish coffees. My own rules of course.
Took my kids here for brunch whilst passing through the area. Food and service was average. Water arrived long after our meals. The decor and ambience in the front room was fine, but the courtyard felt damp, dirty and a bit unloved. Odd smell from the bathroom meant we didn’t stick around long. Won’t return.
One of my new favourite cafes. Some delicious and different menu options. Absolutely love the back garden area, great decor and setting. Staff are friendly and attentive. The coffee is great. Would highly recommend.
Piccolo's Cafe might be small by name, but the experience is like a hug from an Aunty at Christmas; generous, warm and if its anything like mine smells like coffee. With food made with passion, flavours are layered intricately on the plate to leave you wanting to try many more dishes on the menu; the only solution, return time and time again.
A must visit if in Sydney - The Egyptian breakfast plate was one of the most amazing breakfasts I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Staff are friendly and prices are good. Thank crew keep up the amazing work.
So delicious breakfast and yummy coffee. Very dog friendly too xFood: 5/5
Top brekkie. We had the Holy Avo and Grus Nest. Both spot on, as was the coffee. New favourite cafe in Rozelle - this place changed hands a few months ago. We’ll be back.
Good service And outstanding coffees Highly recommend
