Picked up croissants and tarts on Saturday...it was the first time I'd been, but it definitely won't be the last! One of the best croissants I've had - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The only sad thing was they sold out when I came back on Sunday. Coffee and service were also great.
I have been obsessed with croissant and visited many bakeries in Sydney for a couple of months. Finally, I found my best. I took trains and buses from St Leonards and get to Labancz at their opening hour this morning, bought a croissant and a baguette , took them home, cut them, put jam&butter, and enjoyed, succulent!! It took me 45 minutes to get there but it was worth while.
WOW a friend recommended this place and I'm glad I tried their pastries. The croissants were buttery and flaky. Tarts amazing. The meat pie was ok but maybe it needed more gravy.
Croissant is delicious!!! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, not too oily with buttery taste… one is not enough :>
pierre set the standard back challis avenue in the late 90s ~ only to eclipse everything with his humble bakery now. one of the greatest place on earth by the way, no doubt. thanks for 25+ years of hospitality for me alone
Came back to Labancz after a bit of a absence. The coffee is absolutely amazing and I look forward to the ham and cheese croissants which are divine. Best baguettes in Sydney. The baguettes made during the week with all sorts of fillings are to absolutely delicious.
Labancz patisserie was one of the best experiences of my life. The creamy Pain au chocolate was possibly the best chocolate croissants I have ever eaten in my life. Not to mention the excellent service from all the staff. Especially the owners son Pascal Labancz, he was very sweet and I definitely recommend going there. The bread is exquisite and I love walking there with my dog and getting the best coffee In the world. Labancz patisserie will always be one of the greatest patisseries I have ever visted.
Are these the best croissants in Sydney? Definitely the best I've had outside of France. Seriously that good!!! The pies are perfect and every pastry I've sampled a winner! Friendly smiling staff is un-French like but certainly welcomed. A must try if in the area
A cute French pattiserie/boulangerie with delicious freshly made breads & pastries. The enticing smells wafts as you get close by. Order a delicious Double Roasted coffee along with a flakey croissant or a savoury quiche that's as light as a cloud or a perfect tart tartin. Walk out with a crusty baguette & you will look tres chic just like in France.
Double Roaster coffee, well made but did lack the richness that i have had at other double roaster cafe’s. Choc swirl was ok, I suspect it was a few days old, it tasted a bit stale/dry. Places shouldn’t serve up older food,
