PHO 888 Box Hill

Food is worth it. The service isn't. 4 staff. 3 eating lunch. One doing all the work. We're the only ones that needed serving. Another table of 2 were here before us, and they are already eating. One of the staff eating can see us ready to order, but doesn't say anything to the one person who is doing all of the work. We sat staring at the staff for maybe 5 minutes. A phone order got prioritised over us.

Last Saturday my wife and I ate at this restaurant. During our lunch my wife went to the bathroom, shortly after an arrogant intemperate fat Chinese man aged in his mid 40's banged on the female bathroom door even though it was clearly engaged then banged again trying to force my wife out so he could use the toilet. Then incredibly he proceeded to urinate in the handbasin !! This man then took his wife and teenage son and left the restaurant !

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Fast service and BYO with bottle shop just next door. Definitely rate the spring rolls, whether they are the pork and prawn rice paper rolls or the fried versions. Vermicelli salads are great, sauce has a bit of a kick, so go easy if you don't like chilli.

Had not been here for a long while. It was so so good. Good quantities of noodles, beef slices and delicious beef soup.

Pho was really mediocre, no bean shoots or mint to go with it, didn't get my drink and place was rather dirty.
