3.25 - fun atmosphere and menu has a big selection of dishes and drinks. We tried the: Pineapple fried rice - quite heavy so would recommend sharing. Was my first time trying this dish, was a bit underwhelming. Pad Thai with soft shell crab - too sweet for my liking, flavours weren't balanced and the crab taste was strong Calamari - delicious, not too heavy, was fried and seasoned well
Wait for 40mins for our food to come. Lady sits next to me start getting angry for waiting. She says that she wait 20 mins for her coke. The waitress ignores her feelings and basically just says WE ARE BUSY. The hostess today does not make us feel welcomed. I can understand your restaurant is busy. But you should have well trained waitresses to make your patrons feel comfortable. And should have enough kitchen hands at peak time. For customer serviceI would like to give 1 star. But might be unfair and not good to your business. 3 stars for the food. Tom yum soup is goodlamb is well cooked, but the sauce can be stronger. Might not be come back soon.
Good selection of food at reading price. Our meals were tasty and the staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere and decor.
Great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. I went at night for dinner. Menuless ordering. It's all done on your phone via the individual table's unique QR code. Service was reasonably quick for a Friday night with the place half full. Food was really delicious, abit on the small side in portion for what I am used to from other Thai restaurants. The only notable downside was the choice of chairs for the diners to sit on. Very uncomfortable. Straight pure wooden chairs resembling some out of the 1960's.
Food quality is pretty good, although most menus are sweeter than in other Thai restaurants. The service is ok, but they seemed too busy to be excellent. Phat Thai is the best menu for me from here
Excellent value, quick and tasty Thai meals in good atmosphere. Close to Anzac Square. Mocktails and saffron rice are excellent. Green curry comes in a special bowl and is also very tasty.Food: 5/5
Good food and nice service; highlight was the massaman curry. Pad see ew could have more vegetables/meat and egg, and utensils are unnecessarily thin resulting in them easily bending when applying force.
Lovely place : Food was really nice and kindly staff Quality, atmosphere and price of the food was good. I'll visit again next time.
Ordered the crispy pork and green beans for $19. The beans were completely soggy and tasteless, and obviously poured straight out of a pre-cut frozen vegetable packet. This also caused the 'crispy pork' to also be soggy with a chewy rind. We are long past the veggie shortage so there's really no excuse for frozen beans.Food: 1/5
I have eaten at Phat Elephant a number of times over the last couple of years. Attached was my latest choice the chicken pad see ew with added prawns. The flavours were well balanced and delicious in this dish. I agree with other diners that there could have been more vegetables. Previously I've ordered the papaya salad with soft shell crab and found the chilli to overbearing to appreciate the delicate flavour of the soft shell crab. The lamb massaman was a stand out dish! Great location and service on all occasions. I hope to try more from this menu.
