Pets Alive pukekohe. Is an awesome place to look for pets .the lady's there are wonderful. All animals a cared for .cages are clean and tidy. the shop is very clean .so pop in and have a chat to the girls about anything. They do there best to help .a nice welcome when you come into the shop .I've been going to pets alive for 23 years and still buy my animals stuff there ..so thanks lady's you know who you are .you do an amazing job .
The team were fantastic with the purchase of our little girl puppy. She is in great condition and the team had great advice. Thank you all so much for the great service and pure joy in seeing Maisy to a new home.
The animals here are housed in apphuling conditions. Guinea pigs & rabbits are housed together which shouldn't happen, small cages not big enough for the animals. The animals don't look healthy or happy. Who ever is supplying these animals to the store should think twice. As per a lot of other reviews, incredibly rude staff. Please don't support businesses like this. The animals in places like this suffer & then you wonder why they are so skittish when you bring them home.
Animals are kept in horrible conditions and the owners/workers seem to not care at all about animal welfare despite giving advice and being told kindly! The animals also seem to be in poor health and are not being given proper treatment. Do yourself and the poor animals a favour and don’t shop here.
I found this store to have the utmost in animal equipment..the friendliest staff..and the animals instore are obviously very happy. I give my rating 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

Absolutely shattered and heartbroken to see the health of the new budgie i got from this store. He was very quiet, not eating or drinking and sat in the corner all the time, when i called the pet shop they said he must just be feeling alone in the new place but anyhow i took him to the vet after two days of waiting and the vet said he had bacterial infection, worms and fever, they gave some antibiotics and the bird is now on medicines and regular checkups. Just hoping for the other bird's good health who are still there, i just hope he gets well soon, please get your pets' history and weight checked before you buy it from any store.
Don’t comply with many if any welfare standards of the animals they are selling.
