"We are located in the heart of leafy Double Bay, on the corner of Short and Bay Streets opposite the Royal Oak Hotel. Trading seven days for breakfast, brunch and lunch, 7.30am to 4.30pm. Since 1982, Perons has been a favorite destination for locals and visitors from overseas. Both our eat in or takeaway menus express a passion for tasty healthy food, also catering to vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets, with recipes inspired by the great cuisines of the world. Our salad bar is famous for its freshness, choice and exotic ingredients. I haven’t been here for over 5 years and I think I need to change that. It’s not a large place and a sparse on soundproofing so if you want to hear your company best sit outside. Was really impressed with the size of the salads and the food presentation. Thankfully the taste didn’t disappoint. Will make an effort to return!
Came for breakfast and had the Mediterranean pizza omelette—absolutely delicious! Definitely coming back and having this again. Great outdoor seating for people watching too.
This place is good, not great. Some meals have been very good, others not so much. Pricey for a cafe it is in double bay after all... but great location and cool outdoor footpath dining area
All the hopes and potential of being great but came so short. Ordered the steak and eggs. It comes out looking very pretty but the small steak was hidden for reason. It was over cooked and burnt. Plus for a dish call the steak and eggs it only came with 1 egg. Sooo shorted too. Girlfriend also didn’t like her meal. Forgot what she got. Sooo wicked overpriced and won’t be coming back.
Nice food and nice front of house lady but meal was charged at a higher price than advertised/listed.
Best Eggs Benedict in the eastern suburbs. Staff too are very friendly and nothing is a drama.
Classy, classic, and clever. Nice sidewalk eating area; inside okay too. Extensive menus; meals come out freshly cooked and tasty. Top line coffee too. Attentive, friendly staff with extended patience with customers; a Double Bay essential. Been eating here on and off for decades and would say it's currently at one of the highest levels of food quality and service ever.
Nice food, poached eggs was slightly overcooked but everything else was nice
25 dollars steak sandwich with burnt steak, 25 dollars fried corn fritters not tasting fresh. Top of the cherry, the bill comes with a 10% surcharge on the weekend a very small note at the bottom of the menu. Barely any service: "sorry not my business" never coming back.
The epitome of poor customer service, getting orders wrong, being overpriced and self important! If you want the double bay feel - suggest Indigo or White Rabbit if the latter is full. Otherwise Little Jean or Bake Bar are also really good : I’m a local who’s visited this place quite a lot and sadly won’t be going back. The one time I chose to speak up about my food being incorrect, the chef and the manager responded aggressively and rudely to my feedback.
