A beautiful and modern hotel in the heart of town. Very quiet and presentable, clean, tidy and well functioning. The room was spacious and had great amenities. I ordered a room service breakfast and it was delicious and a quick service. The staff were friendly and professional. Faults: We had 3 adults in one room and the room was only replenished for 2 people 2 towels, 2 glasses etc. The pull out bed was quite squeaky and not a comfortable mattress. Also the bathroom door is a frosted glass door with quite a large gap down the side, so a bit awkward to be using the bathroom with the other guests in the room. Parking was a bit of a mission to get to, had to weave in and out of other buildings and areas on the hotel that were not in use. But it’s great they’ve got it.
Stayed a single night for a conference. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The place is a little bit of a maze to navigate with corridors, elevators and stairs going every which way. But once you find your path it's not too bad. The room was nice and neat, although the TV in my room had seen better days and was very worn out and dark. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Would happily stay there again.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Peppers Gallery. The rooms are nicely furnished, spacious and have a palatial feel to them. Parking is a little inconvenient around the corner however understandable given the ACT government’s parking restrictions. Good access to a nearby restaurant and bar which was an added bonus. Would definitely come back!
Room was OK, definitely below the standard I would expect for a Peppers. There were maintenance issues in the room e.g. wallpaper peeling, not as clean as it could have been, when I checked in I wasn't told about any of the amenities of the hotel e.g. location of gym. Had pizza at the restaurant one night which was nice.Rooms: 3/5
We recently stayed at Peppers for a wedding and had a great time. We particularly wanted to thank Jin on the front desk for allowing us to check out late. He was very helpful and friendly!
Finding the park allocated to your apartment is not easy. Apartments are great though. Food is just ok. For a new person finding your way out of the apartment to the restaurant is like a mazeRooms: 5/5
Stayed here 7 nights - overall it went well, my main complaint is that the bathroom lighting is dismal, and there’s basically no room cleaning/towel replacement unless you schedule it and it’s only allowed once/week. I was in a “basement” room - there was a window at ground level.
I booked through the accor app and was told that the rate would not be upheld as it was a mistake. The rate was in the app for several days The email communication was poor and they wouldn't negotiate a better rate - offered a discount that wasn't aligned with the rate booked through an app. As a member, I thought there would be better customer service. I was told just to cancel if I didn't want the rate that they were offering after they declined the app rate.
Noisy air con and weird noises in the night from adjacent rooms. The fittings are tired and worn, needs a refresh for sure. Staff won't automatically provide new towels or toiletries even after several nights stay, one must ask and wait until the next day. Watch out for late cancellations, they don't budge on policy no matter how you've stayed. With many other options in Canberra, why stay here, you might ask. Walkability: Close to ANU and the lake.
