Story

The Penny Royal offers a rich experience steeped in convict history dating back to Van Diemen's Land in 1825. Board the Dark Ride or the Brigg Tamar and immerse yourself in the escapades of infamous local bushranger Mathew Brady, scamper along the cliff walk, experience the quick jump, zip across the site, climb the cliffs and mine for gemstones and gold. Beware the authentic 24 pound cannon fire! After an action packed day, sit back, relax, and enjoy the picturesque replica 1825 stone buildings overlooking the lagoon as you indulge in great local food, fine Tasmanian wines and craft.

A must do if you’re visiting Launceston or just passing through! Great fun for kids and adults alike. There are plenty of exciting activities like rock climbing, cliff walks, cliff jumps, and zip lines. The package deals are reasonably priced compared to other places. You can easily spend a full day here, but even half a day is worth it. Everything is well organised, and the staff are super friendly. Free parking is a bonus. We didn’t get to try the restaurant, but it looked nice. The only downside was that there’s no photo booth or way to get pictures of your activities – that would’ve been a great addition!
Amazing place to visit. Great staff. Fun time. Just overall amazing place that is sure to be a hit with the whole family. I've been here with my dad previously and this time with my son, and both enjoyed the whole place. Totally different age groups and both loved it. I will be back again with other visitors in the near future :
We visited on a Sunday and was not crowded. The place is nestled by a stunning waterfall, Penny Royal Adventure offers a mix of excitement and relaxation. Experienced the adrenaline of cliff adventures, the mystery of the dark boat ride, and the challenge of rock climbing. After the fun, unwind at the cozy on-site restaurant The place has their own hotel also. A perfect getaway for all people with all ages. We all enjoyed well
One of the best adventure parks..there are activities for every age group in this place . Friendly staff and easy accessibility makes it a favourite one for families. Our kids enjoyed the zip line, cliff jump & cliff walk bit scary where the nets are off..picking up the right activities and packages will help you get best out of it. A cafe, restaurant and bar is situated inside which offers variety of items. A must visit in Launceston if you have kids..they will have a good time..
Hidden secret in Launceston. It's free entrance.nA beautiful place.nnA place like a theme park where you can zip line, rock climb, pretend to be a pirate by riding an actual ship, enjoy wine and fine dining or just chill ....nnI agree with the one star rating of Jarrod that the remote control only turns one way. But it was still.fun.
