Great food. I ordered far to much but that's fine as I took the rest home for lunch tomorrow. No surcharge was charged for meal on a public holiday. Will make an effort to go back next time in Auckland.

Pearl Garden is the go to place when it comes to yum char. I have been here many many times over the years. Quality of food is always good. Their steamed rice noodle is my favorite. They are in Newmarket and easy to get to.
Wonderful good food, busy lunch time crowd. Waiters kept filling the teapot and tracking empty dishes. Great dining experience.
Nice Chinese restaurant with authentic dim sum. The service was great and the food is awesome! The only complaint is the entrance is so small and the gate is often closed. There is no waiting area like other Chinese restaurant.

Very fierce cantonese staff. Asked for xiaolongbao soup dumplings was pointed towards the shanghai buns. These had no broth in them at all. Severely disappointed. The congee had so much sesame oil it was overpowering.
We came as a table of 5 for an evening dinner menu. Absolutely delicious meals and great service. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the Pearl Garden staff for a wonderful evening.
Nice location. Food was yummy and tasty! Enjoyed the Yum Cha style of food.
