The food was great at Imperial Palace. We were a group of 12 of us and they took our order and within 10 minutes our food was served. Everything was fantastic, fried squid, dimsum, etc etc, however the chicken feet was quite tough to eat and not falling off the bone as in some other places. Other than that the service was great.

A very amazing Yumcha place! We had to order everything vs the trolley coming around but helped us find some goodies.  Great for new people intro into Yumcha, would recommend the crepe cake!

Really good customer service. Slightly on the expensive side for the quantity, but quality was worth it. Meals came out fast for a busy Saturday night.

Great cantonese yum cha that stays close to its authentic roots.  The chatty, upbeat atmosphere naturally deters uncultured light-skin folks and their bad juju, and invites in people who actually enjoy the food and culture.  The waiters can be more attentive :

Haven't been here for yum cha for a while now, so was pleasantly surprised with how you have to order from a menu, rather than wait for the trolley. It used to always run out of food before it got around. Most of the savoury dishes were delicious, but I would have to say I was disappointed with the sweet ones, which were bland in flavour.

Not usually a complainer but I do not recommend trying this place at all. Visited on 19/02, found a dead fly in our chilli oil, don't know if they buy this or batch cook it out back but that dead fly could've been brewing in that chilli oil for god knows how long. Decided to overlook the dead fly scenario after new chilli oil was served and try the food. What an awful experience that was too. Garlic prawn twists felt like that were cooked 2 hours ago and cold, pork bun outter was still raw tasting and not even put together properly, dim sim had an off taste. Don't even deserve a 1 star!

As most of the Chinese restaurants in Auckland, it is hard to maintain the food quality consistently. Recent dinning experience noticed the food quality did improved though. But they need to raise their hygiene standards as we can see flies many in one corner and insects found around emergency exit door.Food: 4/5

We tried a variety of dishes. All truly authentic and tasted great. Atmosphere quite laid back. One dish that was ordered didn't arrive. Eventually we cancelled it. Some staff stuggled with English, so expect potential communication difficulties. However, they tried hard and were helpful  Kid-friendliness: Highchair provided for a small child in our party. She dropped a bit of food, but staff didn&#39;t fuss. There were several other children at other tables.

Of the 7 dishes, I was happy with 2 of them. Squid was almost cold, seemed a few dishes were just sitting there for a while. Sticky rice was fused to the leaves with a lot of bone. They forgot one of the items we ordered and overall the service was poor.

Variety was good but food was too oily
