Used to be a fairly regular customer, I really enjoyed the satay chicken skewers and Singapore noodles bowl. The food in general is pretty decent, as you’d expect from a street noodle shop. I went to make my usual order recently and found the prices went up in the vicinity of 60% and took it from reasonable priced takeaway to high end restaurant pricing. I am fully aware of the recent impacts of inflation and flooding in the town but that price hike is way too steep to take on so as such I won’t be returning.
I first tried PR Noodles when I first moved into Seymour, and they were OK. Some of the dishes basically taste the same when they should have completely different flavors, as if they just have "generic sauce" that goes in to everything. Recently the prices changed from "affordable, lazy takeaway option" to "premium restaurant", we're talking a $5-6 mark-up for some items, which as I said, I'd expect to pay in a high end restaurant, not a curbside noodle joint that is FAR from premium. Half the time they make a mistake on the order and any comment you write on an item is basically ignored. One day I didn't answer the door immediately and the delivery guy started shouting in the street and annoying the neighbors rather than just leaving it at the door which was what I had instructed to do as I was in a late work call. All in all, the price hike is the reason I won't be back here as it's not even close to worth that kind of money.
This was our go to on a lazy night, but last week I cancelled out online order when I saw the prices...ridiculous!!!!!! Nearly double to before. .. they will outprice themselves at this rate, and we are very short on asian places in Seymour since the floods.
Pretty good. Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Thai Fishcakes all got the tick of approval. Chicken dumplings were just ok.
Was a regular customer for years but last 6 months food quality has really gone down and the price hike is unbelievable, how you justify such a price hike is beyond me. Won't be going back.
Usually hit and miss a big miss tonight hardly any satay sauce with tough as chicken sticks and tough steak in main you really need to do better. Looks like it’s all the way to Craigeburn next time for great Asian food. Not this slop
We love Overseas Seafood Chinese Restaurant in John St Pakenham. I dropped into the noodle shop at the old King Asian location at Seymour and had an excellent meal of roast duck and vegetables. I was delightfully surprised that the card payment was attributed to Overseas Seafood Chinese Restaurant, John St, Pakenham!
Not the best. The restaurant is run down, the food was over cooked, and absolutely dripping with oil. I'm not a fan.
The takeaway meal we had last night was way below standard, we have had takeaway from here before and it was very nice. We all wondered what the hell had happened in the space of 6weeks. Has it changed owner's perhaps? Probably won't be back.
3rd Time lucky where the serving staff member has either gotten my order wrong or in this case again given my order away although could also have been eating it when I walked into the store as it looked like a fried rice was being consumed by the staff. When I did receive the meal after having to wait for another one to be prepared the homemade spring rolls were oily as if they were sitting in the bag since the original not the replacement meal was cooked and the Special Fried Rice was just as bland and oily as the spring rolls. Will still be going in as they do some of the best noodle meals but avoiding certain staff members and hope they either have a word or look for new serving staff.
