I don't live in Palmy, but had cause to visit for the day and needed a quiet place to do some study. The library was fantastic, plenty of seats with hotpoints in easy reach and free wifi and it was clean and quiet. I emailed before I visited the site and got quick and helpful reply. A great facility

The library is located in the heart of the city. A three level building is from architecture designed with awards. The building is surrounded by cafes and restaurants; it's good to find something for the stomach after the library.

Very friendly and helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Excellent book and DVD resources but unfortunately many great books have been disposed of in recent years and so the selection is not as good as it used to be, especially in History. Unfortunately book use is measured by computers which record loan frequency but not how much you've appreciated reading any item. So, do give the staff feedback. The Children's Picture Book Section could also do with some refreshment. Use - or lose - this is a truly great regional resource!
