This award winning garden is like rare jewel hidden in this busy part of the town. It’s cleverly transformed with careful planning, innovative restoration & a combination modern & historical elements. Once one is down there, u could find yourself immersed in the tranquility of this beautiful garden. One can enjoy the nature, as well as learn the history of the reservoir. If one is around, it’s highly recommended to come for a visit!
A great little find in the heart of Paddington. The construction at the nearby unit blocks prevents it from being a haven for peace and quiet, but it would be a lovely rest stop on the weekends when the noise is limited.nnIt is wonderful to note that this spot was saved from being a carpark. It is a shady spot for summer and not many people head here so you may have it for yourself.
Literally a hidden gem, was once an underground water tank that fed sydney, these days, a wonderful picnic area, and tranquil gardens that is out of sight from the street, during our many visits there is hardly anyone there.
Although interesting, it is very small yet attracts a sizable attendance.nnThe council should consider greatly improving the area with appropriate photos, figures and story art, depicting the history of water supply to the Paddington area.
Really lovely, peaceful space. Areas to sit and relax. Bus stop is just out the front. Ramps and an elevator present on site to access different levels.
