Tried getting a lift kit on my new y62 patrol. They asked if it had hmbc suspension to which I replied ‘ it has standard coil suspension’ which it has standard suspension from factory- I’d assume a reputable business would know what standard suspension comes in a car they’re quoting for. Put a $2000 deposit down for them to order the parts in, on the day my partner took the car down they told her they couldn’t do it because of wrong parts. I went in to talk to James in which he told me “you can’t do a lift kit on a new patrol”, two minutes later he was ringing other businesses and infront of me on the phone admitted he doesn’t have the right equipment to decompress the hydraulic suspension. So he lied once again there by saying that you can’t do a lift kit on a patrol. Eventually after a stupid amount of phone calls not getting answered I asked for my remaining deposit back to which ended up incurring a 15% restocking fee. I lost my money and never got a lift kit fitted. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone- their lack of correspondence once things got hard was frustrating, and their lack of knowledge and James’ lies left a bad taste in my mouth.
Tried getting a quote for lockers on my hilux, had workshop staff in the show room trying to talk me out of it and told me to go down the road to ARB as they obviously couldn't bothered fitting it.
Called two days ago to enquire on a snorkel for my 200 series. Harry was great to deal with over the phone. Called me back with a price and was able to book me in within two days. I was even offered a loan car for the day so they could take their time working on the car. The service was great and the workmanship, more so. I will return for anything else I need done in the future. Well done guys. Great work.
Over the last 2 years Steve, Denice, Jono and the team have been nothing but honest about advice for my setup. They have become my trusted go to partners for any off-road kit. Can’t recommend overland enough
Booked in 2 months in advance to get new bull bar and service, rocked up on the day hadn’t booked me in, then they said I could fit me in, so I left my Ute there. Got a call hour later saying the ordered the wrong bull bar

I love using mechanics that I trust, especially when you have such reasonable prices and a high quality of workmanship! Not happy at all Steve can't even come and face what's wrong after hubby went in with pics and after going back yesterday and then ringing again yesterday leaves poor wife to deal with something she knows nothing about today. Holes in floor of my car that should have had bungs in them but they put silicon into which has fallen out. All to put on a set of brush bars and new side steps and 1900 later you don't even care you ripped off pensioners and cost them more money to get fixed properly! Will not recommend you to anyone neither will the place we are taking to now and they told us this is where they would send people but no more.
Very poor customer service, I would never go there again.. Further to my experience, to my one year old 4WD the Airbags I had fitted one side kept leaking, so when I had it checked out at regular service, the airlines had been secured by cable ties and one of them was rubbing on the rear universal seal which has cut through the rubber. This end up costing me over $250 to replace, but at least it all works properly now.
Walked in needing some help to remove a Hammer lock pin towing Hitch,as i only have one hand i could not do it myself.Spoke to old mate for help to remove as needing a pin drift to remove not only did he remove pins for me he said no charge ,legends thank you so much Wazza
The Steve and his crew at Overland 4WD are extremely knowledgeable and provide truth and honest opinions of all 4WD modifications and gear. After seeking quotes from the other big 2 companies I approached Overland 4WD. Jono quoted me reasonable and competitive prices on what I wanted done and they accommodated my needs in a very short time frame. I provided a bar and winch from another brand, the fitting team were exceptional in their workmanship and archived my desired outcome. The team worked back to achieve an outstanding result. Excellent work
