Lovely place to spend a few hours and see some natural geothermal activity. A little boat ride takes you across to the park and a clear walkway and signage directs you around the park between viewing spots. Easy in trainers without a problem, just wooden walkways and steps to navigate around. Hot geysers, mud pools and caves among the things to see. Mud pools were quite mesmerising and the hot geysers are fascinating! Lots of birds song along the woodland trail too.

This place is truly amazing! It is by far the best of the geothermal parks in NZ. It is a walk through nature's spectacular display with a variety of formations. The staff are friendly and the cafe has tasty cakes. This is an excellent day out. An absolute 'must visit'.

Would have to be one of the better thermal valleys to go to in NZ, all naturally formed (some others are not). Reasonable walking distance + well formed/ signed. Lots of different things to see on the one walk. Was an impromptu stop on our holiday that ended up being a fav!

This place is a beautiful hidden gem. It has all the thermal activity you get elsewhere plus a boat ride across a lake and beautiful scenery to boot. Take bottled water with you. Suitable for all fitness levels but not accessible for prams or wheelchairs.

Pretty cool place to check out for a few hours. You have to take a boat to get across. You could see the activity going on and feel the steam.
