Loved this place! Beautiful natural hot springs where you can sit in the rocky pools with the hot water streaming over & past you, then when it gets too hot (yes too hot!) you can cool off in the river. Must get really busy here because we were there on a Monday morning and it was pretty busy already.

I wish so many people didn't know about this truly special gem, but that's not really fair... This is a magical spot where you can enjoy swimming in warm water. Standing on a cold day under the hot waterfall was truly something special. There is a 5 min walk down from the carpark to the water. Look out for the blue bike up a lamp post...

This is one of the best places to bring the kids in Taupo. Great playground, flying Fox and some good old fashioned obstacles. Unfortunately many of these older obstacles have been removed (probably due to people being too precious these days). The park has convenient toilets and easy access to the river and hot springs.

The geothermal pool was the most interesting. Be sure to bring bathing suit for some free outdoor soak. It can be crowded. But there are toilets near the car park to change and stuff. The hot water flows all the way down from quite a distance away. Very interesting experience!

Bro, this place is incredible! It's so refreshing, very accessible and FREE!

The current can be strong when the river is up, so be prepared to swim, or at least know you will have to walk back down the river to get to the hour springs.
