Really enjoyed the 90 minute tour, it's well priced and you get to see lots of the stadium and learn the interesting recent history of the stadium and sport in Perth. AFL focussed at the time we visited but does touch on it's cricket usage too.nBruce was great. He greeted us on arrival and gave a very informative tour.
Travelling around OZ, was meeting up with our boys and as haven't been to an AFL game all season, arranged to see Freo and Geelong at Perth Stadium.nPretty impressed with the stadium.nI know it's pretty new, but still, we were able to get in and out with no issues. Amenities were clean and easily accessed, as were the vendor stalls.nOnly 60,000 capacity compared to the G in Melbourne, but we were able to see the game from L5 in reasonable comfort, with 50,600 others. Pretty good day all in all, and neither of us barrack for either team.
What a great experience :nAccess I needed to complete an online induction as a ‘contractor’ prior to attending was wonderful.nI arrived as programmed and was then personally guided to my parking position under the stadium, access to the ballroom was explained and worked really well.nI then reached to my contact Simon, who was simply brilliant - very helpful and accommodating to my requests.nStaff also looked after me during the evening with chilled water and when leaving, departure was very simple.nOne of my best experiences as a provider to a large venue - Thank you staff at Optus Stadium.
Loved every minute watching my team destroy Freo . Midway through people near us just left so we had a lot of room to ourselves not feeling cramped. Great atmosphere and good food although expensive though. Found it easy enough to find our seats and the people in our seats left straight away so no issues there. Getting parking is not the best you’ll have to find paid parking nearby the oval and walk if you haven’t prebooked parking. We had perfect seats as well, we didn’t catch the cold wind at all. This oval is clean and huge with adequate lighting and sound system.
Great modern stadium, feels clean. Quite a few steps to get up, for those that aren't as able. Where I was 143 there wasn't a great amount of beer options. I only tried one, local brand from memory. Not a fan. Could've gone a Swan instead.nAlso Freo fans were salty as. But I'd be too. Would love to come back for the cricket. Easy access to city via short walk to train and bus services. Expensive but decent pub nearby too.
