The classic oporto taste still exists here… enjoyed.
Ordered a meal for 2 with a share cup of corn and was absolutely disgusted to find little brown bugs at the bottom of the cup where the corn was. Talked to the manager and man did not do anything about it, he said sorry but did nothing else about it. I expect better from Oporto, and now will not be ordering from here again. Tried to get an explanation of how bugs got inside the cup of corn, especially towards the bottom must indicate their grill is dirty or their food handling is not to food act and safety standards as they just grill the corn. Burger was bland as well.
TLDR: always double check your receipt to make sure you're being charged right. Average joint. Food is usually what you'd expect from oportos but the last time I went the tomato salad in the chicken meal was starting to taste off. The time before that, I asked for two extra chicken patties with my bondi burger but she tried charging me a whole burger minus everything but the patty +$8 for one of the patties. When confronted she offered to give us back $5, but we would still be overpaying. We ended up just removing the item as she wouldn't just charge us the advertised price of the patty. Edit: went again recently. Ordered the chicken meal with extreme sauce as I always do and when I got home and opened my meal, there was no sauce on the chicken. It was just plain charcoal chicken.
Response to owner: Reduce by one star for your automatic response. Do not have time for phone calls or forms. Review update: Could have been cleaner dirty tables and seats. Food left on tables. Had to clear a table to sit.Food: 4/5
unlike most other oportos, this one doesn't make the burgers properly. I unwrapped the burger and it almost instantly fell apart with one of the chicken fillets falling to the ground. The server taking the order was also rude and the service was all round quite shoddy. would probably be better eating anywhere else at carlingford court.
Ordered a meal box online with 2 sides and sauce from oporto Carlingford. Everything was just thrown in the box and so messy. Usually, everything is given in a separate box like a sauce in a small tub, salad in a seperate box. But today, everything just mixed up in 1 box. Didn’t look good and didn’t feel like eating.
The whole chicken I have ordered, which was not grilled at all. Look like just steamed and sauced on top of greased skin of chicken. May not visit again.
We ordered 10 chickens without notice, and the store crew manage to get them all done for a school event we had organised. They were very thoughtful and had put them all into boxes. We ordered a mix of chilli and lemon and herb basted chicken. Chips were still crunchy when we ate them. Too yummy. THANK YOU team Oportos
