Hot chips done right - hot, crispy, fluffy and just the right amount of salt. An Aussie takeaway of your childhood, except that its clean and bright with friendly owners. I took a 'small' chips home, opened it up and there was not a single soggy chip. Such a large portion that I couldn't finish it on my own. Come here if you want proper hot chips.
Went here just before they closed and they were more than happy to serve us! Service was impeccable and the staff are friendly. Food is well made, cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Their chips hold up well over time as well and are very tasty. Don't skip the chicken salt! Parking: Street parking out front
I had probably one of the best Portuguese chicken burgers I’ve ever had here. Chips also excellent and not one soggy chip. Such a proper little takeaway, and I’ll be returning to try more and I am definitely not close by!
I’ve been coming here for my fish and chips for years, and the service I am treated with is absolutely fantastic. The staff are lovely, and these are the best hot chips I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend to everyone.
A proper Aussie chippy! Best fish and chips for miles around. Chiko rolls, potato scallops, the works. Fresh salads and a wide range of drinks and ice creams and, best of all, genuinely friendly and engaging staff. Chicken Salt is a local institution and a wonderful locally owned small business. The food’s great, and the people are lovely. Do yourself a favour and swing by. Bring your big pants.
Excellent shop! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They don't pressure you at all. Food was delicious, excellent size and very decent price. I'll be coming back here for sure. They gave a wonderful local vibe.
Amended Gave this place another go, heard wonderful things about it. My first experience 8 months ago was not great however I think that was down to a misunderstanding. This time the experience was far better. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The servings are generous and the staff are extremely hard working. Would return again for sure.
