Olive-Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Brunch, Boutique Wine, Secret Garden-Vibrant Urban Sanctuary, Eclectic Charming People, Collective Art, Free Wi-Fi
Olive is part of the furniture of the Capital's most wonderful, infamous and Bohemian street. We love the art, the attitude and the mild chaos that makes it, and we've tried to bring a bit of that spirit inside – along with the friends, furniture and odds 'n ends we've found along the way.
Olive wakes early and stays up right though dinner, five days a week. On Sunday we're brunching it up till three. As well as breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, you'll find an eclectic mix of cakes and savouries to eat in or take away. In the afternoons we have an afternoon snack and platter menu which is perfect for catching up with friends over a quiet drink or 2.
For our food, we honour the seasons and source quality ingredients from as close to home as possible. As our name suggests, we're mediterranean in flavour, contemporary in outlook and we aim to cook simply but well. We continue to serve coffee from the lovely folks at Supreme – and our new machine is amazing.
Our sunny garden is growing to twice the size to accommodate the happy olive tree we planted all those years ago. The garden will also sport a new grill and bar, more tables, much nicer chairs and, to top it all, a sail to keep the weather out.
From Spring through Autumn we hold 'Oasis at Olive' events in the garden – film and/or live music – once or twice a week. We complement the events with cooking on the garden grill, beer from the bar and hotties and pit fires to keep you toasty on cooler nights. We'll keep you posted on Facebook of course.
We offer free and fast-(as-we-can-source) wi-fi to our customers.
We'd love to see you any time. For a good time.
