Excellent ! Okato is such a suprising little town that has so much more than you'd expect ! On very good surprise was this fish and chip shop. Very clean and tidy shop, delicious fish and chips, great service. Recommended 100%
One of the best burgers I have ever had builders burger I would say the best burger I have ever had from a fish and chip shop. Chips are bang on too! I want to go back and try the other things on the menu. Location has great places near by to take your take aways to so you can eat with a view of the beach of the mountain or both. Be careful here it's easy to order too much food.
Not happy with our experience at all, order was missing our chips and when we let phone staff know they told us we didn’t order any instead of trying to right the situation in anyway, food we did receive was soggy and chewy

This place is a must for anyone passing through. The fish and chips were second to none. Not to mention the homemade cheesecakes which were sublime. The burgers we ordered were just as flawless. Everything you’d ever need from a fish and chip shop. Great value for money. Beautiful older lady with great hospitality. Wonderful.
They were the best Fish and Chips I tried in New Zealand, all my friends agreed on it, and we had no idea it was also rated as the best in the country, stopped by accident but we are glad we did, incredible staff and food. We will come back soon.
That's why they being voted the best fish and chips in the country! Say no more
The young guy serving was so polite. We enjoyed the food.
