Old and tired, right on the highway so was quite noisy. Dogs were restricted to a small tiled area in the room 2 labs filled it. The have plenty of area for the dogs and enclosed dog park. Good for an overnight stop and the price was right.Rooms: 3/5

It was late and we had been driving for a long time and when we arrived the air smelt wonderful from the frangipanis ... we sat out front and the chef delivered our dinner which was fresh and good - we had a beer and then went into our room. Now I was not expecting much as the place looked pretty tired outside but I was expecting clean ... and sadly it had not been cleaned for a long long time. There was so much stuff in the room, it smelt bad and when we turned the aircon on it smelt much worse. There are so many places like this in Queensland probably everywhere that are crying out for a refurb. The location is brilliant but the rooms are simply dreadful. Rooms: It was not nice at all - there is old and then there is old and broken and dirty and this was all those things.

Hi there! My name is Chantelle and I would like to leave a review on behalf of my computer illiterate dad Glenn Reedman at his request. The ocean view motel at Bowen has been an oasis for my dad for a few years now. It's his favorite home away from home when on the road on his trucking Adventure's all over Australia. When the covid lockdowns were happening a few short years ago the ocean view always treated him with respect and made him feel welcome unlike most of the country that treated him like a lepper. It was even his favorite place before all that started as it's such a warm welcoming place to be. My dad would just like to publicly thank Col and the gang here for such a lovely place to stay and totally recommend this fine establishment for a short or long stay. Thanks

4.8/5 Finding accommodation for a dog is not easy, but rest assured Ocean View Motel is the perfect place for your dog! The room is nothing special but definitely value for money. Very quiet surroundings even though it is on the Bruce Highway the traffic isn't disturbing. Having your car right by the back door is a bonus. The bed was comfy and towels were changed daily we have experienced that this doesn't happen everywhere, same with emptying the bins. Col and his team are so easy going and apparently they do home cooked meals which I hear are incredible. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this motel for you and your dog! We stayed for 5 nights.
This is a great motel with the very BEST food served. Despite being on the highway, you cannot hear the traffic at night. The rooms have everything you need to be comfortable, they’re clean and airy. Pets are welcomed. The view of the northern Whitsunday Islands at sunrise is spectacular. Stop here for a night or 2, you’ll be pleased you did. Nearby activities: Good beaches for off leash dog walking and Cole offers their fenced paddock as another off leash area to exercise your dog.
