The Bowen Hotel (Previously known as the Denison Hotel) is located at 55 Powell Street, Bowen QLD – The Bowen Hotel is the perfect place to sit back, relax and take a break after a hard day’s work, or bring family out for an enjoyable meal with a relaxed atmosphere. Family friendly dining with free activity packs for the kids ones makes dining out a breeze at Bowen Hotel.

Choose from a large selection of superb quality meals and drinks in our Bar & Restaurant or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our large Gaming Room open till 2:30am 7 days. Decent food and pretty good service and atmosphere!
Wow! First visit after being disappointed by another local pub. Great food, great family pub, kids indoor playground, activity bag for kids, choice of healthy kids meals. Adults looked after too - food was great, lunch special calamari, $17.90 with chips n salad or veg, was fast and plentiful. Staff were friendly. Will be back for sure, worth the drive from Airlie for lunch
We had a great dinner here in our recent visit to Bowen. The staff greeted us as we entered and were very friendly to children. Staff took care with my allergies, making sure I had no reaction. The kids loved the playground and activity bags they received with their meals, which miss fussy eater had no complaints about.
Wow! What a great pub. Good service. Good food and great value. We had the Calamari lunch special for $17.90 and it was excellent. You even get two chicken pieces for free. We had highly recommend this pub.
Just came in for lunch, Good food and service but a horrible man assaulted a child by smacking her in front of the whole restaurant, it made me feel sick especially as none of the staff talked to him about it, kicked him out, banned him, or called the police as that IS illegal and classed as assault. I actually made this new Google account just to say that I think it’s appalling nothing was done especially as that child could be in danger - imagine what’s happening at home if that’s how he thinks it’s appropriate to treat a child in front of the public eye. I saw one of the waitstaff shaking as well, she looked like she wanted to help but didn’t know what to do. My heart breaks for the kid and the young staff member. The older member of staff didn’t even bat an eye and continued cleaning the table.
