NZC - Used Car Dealer, Penrose Car Yard

service was ok however the vehicle we wanted to view on the trademe listing was not in the car lot as advertised. we called ahead and made sure that they had the car we wanted and they said they did, when we got to the dealership and after waiting for an hour they said "I guess we must have sold it" the vehicle was listed over a month ago and is still listed as being in the car yard. this is FALSE ADVERTISING. after that they tried showing us another car that didnt have a working radio and after they said they will not be fixing it or reducing the price to accommodate fixing the radio we left very dissatisfied. BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. very disorganized.

Came from Taupo to purchase a van Alistair was great , very helpful. Paid cash for van. Was most disappointed when we found out that the radio system COULDN'T be converted to english unless we paid $2000.00. (Needless to say we have a system that we don't fully understand). Sold the van to us WITHOUT a spare tyre of any description so phoned manager and waited 5 weeks for a tyre that was rusty and looked like it had been rescued from the dump. No second key so that cost us $300.00 plus. We saved hard to buy this people mover so we can take all our mokopuna with us when we go away. So be wary people, check it out first. WORST CAR DEALER, DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! Terrible service, racist & misleading. I read a listing for one of their cars on trade me, listed as in mint condition. Drove all the way their to see it. As soon as I arrived a very rude sales person met me, she was not interested at all to speak to me about the car. I told her that I want to buy the car but I wanna discuss the airconditioning that is not working, the fittings that are broke, the screen that is all in Japanese and more defects. She said that only the business manager could discuss that. I asked to speak to him, she said he is busy now, I asked for him to call me when his free which she agreed to. I left in a very bad mood because of her behavior and then an hour she called again saying that they will not fix any of the defects of the car or reduce the price and when I asked again to speak to the business manager she refused and said that he doesn't want to talk to me! what kind of business is that?! Honestly this is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with! I will be reporting them to the business commerce commission. No one should be discriminated like that!

Amazingly friendly staff, helped my friend and I find a used car while we visit from the USA. Got a great car extremely happy. Could not recommend more.
