Story

Number12 B & B is a charming bed and breakfast operating in the inner city suburb of Hawthorne. Perfect for couples, family reunions small groups or business professionals trying to escape the standard hotel scene. Number12 offers the choice of double rooms or a single suite. Spacious rooms are larger than the typical affords, and all feature their own bathrooms.

Founded on 41 years of marriage, numerous overseas travels and a love affair of antiques Neil and Kate Robson have finally opened their family home for others to enjoy. Born and raised in country NSW they have brought together all the trimmings of country life within the luxuries of inner city living.

Located within the prestige suburb of Hawthorne, the city limits to Brisbane is a mere 3km. Number12 is convenient to restaurants and shopping and is only one 1km to Oxford street precinct and 300meters to monthly seasonal Farmers' Markets. If you prefer to go to lunch or dinner without getting in your car, you can walk to the local dining or the City Cat and hit Brisbane city's fine dining strip at Riverside. The Number12 B&B is surrounded by numerous parklands, beautiful surrounding streets and bike tracks for guests who enjoy the outdoors. Offering the warmth of a country inn, the house was built in 1907 and has been tastefully restored to its original glory over the past 3 years. In fact proprietor Neil Robson has self restored this previous family home, hands on! Immersed with exquisite antiques, collected over 41 years of travels throughout both Australia and overseas, no attention to detail has been spared. Modern standards are included as well with each room containing WiFi, digital TV, DVD, bathrobes, hairdryers, and full ducted air conditioning.

Each morning, Number12 will prepare a traditional breakfast like bacon and eggs, omelettes and much more. They use fresh local produce as much as possible and can accomodate some special dietary requirements, but please mention any restrictions when making your reservation. With a typical starter of fruit salad and an ending with a flourish of yogurt, muffins and other home baked goodies this will be a delicious way for each of their couples, groups or families to begin their day!
