Absolute waste of time. Such a bad representation of Norway and Norwegian people. Useless booking system. Can't speak to no one. Even their emails are repetitive and useless. It's clear everyone is being ignored because they're incompetent and can't do a job right. My son's passport expired back in October, you CANNOT get any appointments. Not online or over the phone or emails. What are we supposed to do? Can't travel, can't do anything. Are you blind to the negative comments or are purposely ignoring your reviews? Highly paid staff, who don't do anything to resolve this issue. Disgusting
new update THEY ACTUALLY CHANGE THE BOOKING SYSTEM, EASYER NOW TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS BUT STILL MONTHS BEFORE YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET ONE ..If I could no stars at all. So disappointed, feeling so frustrated right now. I have been trying for some few months now every Friday to get my son's passport renewal appointment with no luck. I have sent so many e-mails to all the addresses I could find . No response. I went to the embassy, the same , no help at all.. so my only solution was to ask for a emergency passport and I had to send a mail asking for that and explaining why! And by the way you need a valid travel tickets. So here I go buy new tickets London-Oslo and no response to my emails. I go back to the embassy and tell them and the only thing the lady said is that sometimes it can go to a different box so they didn't see it .. unfortunately..but just try again. If someone has a suggestion what I can do please let me know.
No appointments are available for me to get a passport for my newborn son to see his grandparents. In addition to this they need me to make the 9hour trek to London as these whoresons downsized the Edinburgh consulate. Update!!! As the child's mother is Hungarian, we decided to try to get a passport for him from Orban and friends. Got an appointment in 5 minutes through a very helpful website. The appointment is in less than 6 weeks, and as they are a serious country, they have 3! Consulates which offer the services we require within a reasonable journeytime. On top of this, they'll give our son 400 000 Forint in state bonds as a welcome to the world gift. I am frankly shocked that Hungary can outclass Norway in running a diplomatic mission in a country, which is Norways' next-door neighbour and biggest trading partner. Inkompetente fettsækka og hæstkuka. Dra Bergensern på tlfn ned i fjæra å bli kvitt'n.
The whole country is a pleasure, I was fortunate to serve in the British army in Norway in the 1980s. The most wonderful of people, culture and what is good in life i,f I wasn't English I wish I was Norwegian. I have returned after been artic warfare battalion and what a pleasure to return.
If you want an example of overpaid diplomats living off tax payers' money for doing nothing but sit on their behinds, look to the Norwegian Embassy in London. I've been trying to renew my passport for months. They don't answer phones. They don't answer emails. Their phone operators don't answer calls. Despite logging on to the portal at 9 am every Friday for weeks, no dice. The helpful man at the reception who will be on a nice salary of £100k plus tax free and free housing just kept repeating "I can't help you through reception". When I asked if he could transfer me to someone who could, he answered, "I can't help you through reception". When I asked what alternatives there were, "I can't help you through reception". Pressed on whether we all just need to leave our jobs, take extended annual leave and go to Norway and wait there for the weeks it would take to get a passport he answered, "yes, maybe that's a good option if you can get an appointment". Not sure what function the Norwegian Embassy has other than to maintain the lavish lifestyle of a braindead bunch of diplomats who can't be bothered to lift a finger or an rompe cheek to help their citizens.
Great reception and attention to details and customer. Been there twice to sign consent documents for my little boy born in Norway and was both smooth operation from staff and Security staff was wonderful in his approach to oncoming visitors. Thank you!
Only way of showing my disapproval of the killing of the seal for no reason. Just wrong on every level those who decided to kill the seal should resign or be dismissed. Norwegian Govt should donate to a Seal charity to compensate the loss of its life. The world awaits your compassion Norway
Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Rude staff over the phone and by email. They don't want to help with anything and it's nearly impossible to get an appointment to renew my daughters passports. They were suppose to put more available appointments at 10:30 this morning. I was on the booking system at 10:30 and already they were all booked. They told me I have to wait another month and next time be there earlier to try and book again. So essentially you have less than 10 minutes to try to get an appointment once a month. I have waited several months now. It's shocking they don't offer more appointments. It's going to be faster flying to Norway to renew the passport then being able to get an appointment here. If they have such a backlog then they need to offer more appointments or open other offices in Birmingham, Manchester and Scotland but such a greedy and tight decision makers dedpite one of the richest country.
What a useless waste of time. Impossible to get an appointment for a passport for my son. Wasted many Fridays on the website. Can't speak to anyone.
Shockingly bad customer service. I had to take time out of work because there's only one chance per month to book an appointment for the most basic passport services. This is on a Friday at 10.30am. Two months in a row, I was online ten minutes before the booking window opened, but all appointments were inexplicably already booked up. The email I sent in desperation was not answered.
