I decided to try a new mechanic & found Northern Car. I Highly recommend there work ,knowledge, honesty and great price & loan car if needed. They did service and checked over car which lead them to discover a build up of sludge in engine . The engine look's like it's done a lot more miles than it's showing. Could die at any moment the sludge is so thick. 'See pic ' Next car I will definitely get the guys to check it over before I buy, they really know there stuff. Thankyou
I booked my car in for a rwc a week in advance and after I had dropped it off there all day went by I then received a ph call from Northern car care advising that they no longer do receive there and they now take vehicles to another business to do the rwc and they were too busy to do mine. Never going back there what a waste of my time!

We are traveling Australia and not in a position to return to the mechanic if things arent right. We are towing a 2 T caravan. Knowing this we firstly went to one town to gain advice in what a crunching sound on the back wheel. We we given advice and photos that the wheel bearings needed replacing. As well the rear right axle needed attention. We took the paper work in to show these guys. They agreed to do the work. I checked to see they were able to attend to the axle, he cited different option available to fix it. We gave them the car over night to be sure they had time. When we arrived the next day, and enquired about the axle, the mechanic shrugged his shoulders and suggested he didn't think there was anything wrong with it and therefore didnt replace. Driving home the grinding sound was still evident at times. The hand brake is no longer holding the car. We thought they were a repco dealer as was suggested in their book but realized later that it wasnt. They never called us through the process to discuss it. Im guessing we have no comeback. Im over getting work done in Melboune only to have to go back and get it fixed again. Positives ? The wheel bearings are done I hope.

Amazing experience my car broke down at McDonald's I google mechanics closest with good reviews. They were very HONEST and told me prices, ordered parts and had my car fixed on the same day. Nice men my car has never run better! Thanks guys I'll be back.
Excellent and most importantly, trustworthy. Due to a failure with our car we had to get an entirely new engine. The job only took 4 days and was $4000 less than any other previous quotes. If you find a good mechanic like John l say stick with them!
