I went to this clinic to get my booster yesterday and I asked for any other spot that if my husband could get it earlier than his booking time. The lady at the reception wrote my husband's name and told me she gonna call me for any available vaccine prior his appointment! After getting my vaccine I went at her desk again to say "thank you" but I saw she crossed out my husband's name and when I asked her she tried to pretend that she didn't know any thing and she left her desk. My husband has Muslim name and I am pretty sure that it happened because he is muslim.It was an obvious discrimination. He canceled his appointment with that clinic.
Doctors were lovely and so were some receptionists but there were definitely some other receptionists who were quite rude. I had called them up as I had wondered why my second COVID vaccine hadn't yet come through on my immunisation history after more than 10 days. The first receptionist was very kind but the second one informed me that there was nothing wrong on their end and they had sent it through successfully but before I could ask any further questions, I was promptly hung up on. Very 50/50 on the phone as you can either get someone who is willing to help you or someone who isn't.
We easily booked an appointment for a COVID vaccination at this clinic via Hot Docs. It's not our usual medical clinic, but we really hope that it will be going forward. The staff and Dr Ingram were very punctual, prompt and polite - we sat down and were then called within a minute or two. It was a quiet clinic which is perfect for our teens who were nervous about having their first Covid vaccination. They have never been really sick so they don't make regular visits to a medical clinic. The Dr was professional, great bedside manner and promptly gave the injections, done! I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough - especially if you have anxious teens or special needs family members. Our teens walked out smiling and had such a positive experience. Lots of onsite parking. Thank you for looking after us today, we truly appreciate it.
Wed 16/02/2022 - Don't even answer calls and no ability to leave a message. What a wonderful communication method with patients who only require a voice on the other end of the phone to book an appointment. Automated message says to call 000 in case of an emergency......Thanks for the heads up but I just wanted to book an appointment with a local doctor. Very poor communication and very poor patient care......0 Stars
What a lovely place to get vaccinated. Despite the expected chaos it was quiet and fast to get my son vaccinated. We got there 30 minutes early and only had to wait 15 minutes. We were out before we were in! While waiting I walked around the recently renovated? grounds and gardens.
I am a teacher and am currently on a work visa. I really wanted to get my second shot of COVID vaccine before I go back onsite to teach next week and felt quite lucky to find an available vaccination spot at this clinic. When I made the appointment on HotDoc and noticed that they don't accept new patients, I even called the clinic to make sure that they would take new patients for the COVID vaccination. The lady answered my call in a perfunctory manner - she simply said they take new patients for vaccination and the appointment I made via HotDoc was all good but didn't mention it at all that I must have Medicare to get the jab at their clinic. When I arrived at the clinic today for the vaccine, I was told by a reception lady that I won't be able to get the vaccine because I don't have medicare so they can't register me on the system. I then explained that fact that no one had told me that I need to have medicare to get vaccinated at their clinic and I am a teacher who will being going back onsite to teach next week so I need the vaccine quite urgently. That receptionist went to the office and probably asked her colleague regarding this matter. She came back to me with the same answer. I was already annoyed at that point that no one had reminded me earlier to bring medicare, but I had accepted the fact that I won't get the vaccine at that clinic. However, that lady's attitude and the way she communicated with me made the whole experience even worse!! She kept repeating that "you don't have medicare" very loudly in a haughty tone that other patients sitting next to the reception could probably all hear it. She even said "you are not an Australian citizen" - what's that to do with my appointment?! It was such a humiliating experience and a patient was staring at me as I walked out the clinic. That rude reception lady made me feel that it was my bad to not have medicare and not be an Australian citizen!! Her behaviour was toxic and totally unacceptable and I can't believe that this has happened in the multicultural community of Balwyn.
Highly recommended. Kerry at reception, as well as Nurse Sue from pathology along with all the other staff at reception are genuinely really nice and friendly. Without any hesitation whatsoever, they act instantly to help achieve your requests. As for the doctors, I cannot recommend any higher. They're knowledgeable, friendly, professional and genuinely care for all their patients. Particularly Dr Virginia and Dr Neil Cameron the doctors just stated are highly recommended. Thankyou. :
Got my booster here and was overall pleased. GP was quick and friendly. Only problem was having to wait 10-20 minutes from my scheduled booking time.
I had exactly the same experience as some others. Very quick for a vaccination, lovely staff, clean and open. Would recommend
It's better to get your vaccine elsewhere. GP wasn't prepared and organised for simple vaccine shot.
