Story

Ngati Ruanui Healthcare has been providing care since 1996. We have a permanent staff of 1 doctor, 1 nurse practitioner and experienced nursing staff and non-clinical staff available.

Our services are located next to the Hawera Hospital and we are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. We offer a wide range of services, alongside an onsite pharmacy and easy access to the hospital laboratory and emergency department services.

New patients are most welcome. If you would like to become a new patient with us, you will be required to complete our enrolment process.

Female receptionist don’t know how to deal with someone who waited 3 weeks for daughters appointment which get cancelled 57 mins before the appointment day when he had to leave work early to be there. Need some Costumer service lessons urgently.

Very unhappy with the male receptionist. Very arrogant, lack of customer service,  definetly need big improvement, talking down to patient's father isn't nice. Doctors are very good. 5 stars for doctors I have come across.

Wow amazing service your male receptionist assisted me in a error with my prescription today..No trouble at all..even loved the banter that went with it...so pleased I changed to this Drs Surgery..Big Thumbs Up..nothing seems to be any trouble at all

They booked at the same time as someone else to see the same person. I waited 30 uneccesary mins instead of being booked after the other person and waiting 5-10mins instead. Unprofessional, Ngati Ruanaui.

Have just moved to the area and the staff out front seem very rude I don't understand the long wait times to see a Dr but the Drs and nurse was lovely unable to change to a different Dr place so stuck with them for now

The desrespect from the male receptionast is appauling as i need to see a doctor for my mental health and im in need of help and he turns me away say i wld have to wait 2 weeks for my notes to come in from previouse doctor nd then wld have to wait a month before i can actualli see a doctor. They dont care one bit about mental health even if someone is suicidal pathetic i say

I have had a great service both from Receptionist and Nurse + GP and they have met all my needs. Nice quiet place and a friendly environment.  Manager is lovely understanding and awesome.  P.S  If nothing is done about the receptionist or bad service then maybe ask for the manager name Sarah and see if she can solve the problem if not take it straight to TDHB!! Complaints and any other concerns.

I had my Partner make a call for a new prescription for a repeat of all his medication on a Monday and we just got to the doctors to be told that his prescription was not put into the system and to be told to come back tomorrow to pick up from Hunters Pharmacy. Another is someone with a disablitiy like my partner who struggles to explain himself to the receptionist should be more mindful to speak and be more mindful to have patience. Its called have the right attitude with a smile when serving patients or clients. Show others that you want to work and be there to serve the locals. My partner was very annoyed and hotheaded as i had to explain to him how it works.
